    Default Cheef's Chloromancer Guide

    Chloromancer!

So basically what i use is a 51 chloro, 10 warlock (For Opportunity) and 5 Pyro, for the reduced pushback, and slightly faster casts.

The build is here : http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1z...qAIkRR.xx.f.-6

I find it to be pretty easy to use this build, i use 2-3 macros that help out quite a bit.

My first macro(put on #1 on the action bar) :

    #show radiant spores
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast radiant spores
    cast void life
    cast withering vine

In raids if you are not the only chloromancer healer make sure you aren't using your radiant spres if the other chlormancer has his 4pc and you dont, only because of the 10% bonus he'll get from the set, it gives more heals to the raid because the spores dont stack. withering vine is good to have now that it is an instant, make sure you have 2-3/5 monsters vined.

Second Macro (On #2 on the action bar)

    #show nature's touch
    cast ruin
    cast Nature's Touch
    cast vile spores

I use this macro alot, instead of using void life only because currently i do not have my 4pc HK, this with the Opportunity is where the heals really get l33t. The vile spores, and the ruin both do damage over time, so you want to try to use them together when needed.

Next up on the action bar is Nature's Fury, this doesn't need a macro, i use it alone its good for aoe's and it's nice to use with opportunity active. If you use KaruulAlert, i suggest making an alert for the Opportunity Buff, Opportunity makes your next cast instant. IF you dont have KaruulAlert i suggest you download it here: http://www.curse.com/addons/rift/karuulalert

If you click File ---> Import Set. Copy and paste this into the bar:

    Opp23;1;T;player;1;T;F;F;Opportunity;none;0;1;F;F; 0;0;kAlert;images\Aura-39.tga;864;405;256;256;1;1;;CENTER;1;;0;0;0;30;T;T ;CENTER;30;T;6;F;0|Opp2;1;T;player;1;T;F;F;Opportu nity;none;0;1;F;F;0;0;kAlert;images\Aura-28.tga;933;405;256;256;1;1;;CENTER;1;;0;0;0;30;T;T ;CENTER;30;T;6;F;0|Opp;1;T;player;1;T;F;F;Opportun ity;none;0;1;F;F;0;0;kAlert;images\Aura-28.tga;800;406;256;256;1;1;;CENTER;1;;0;0;0;30;T;T ;CENTER;30;T;6;F;0

Then save it, it will make a visual appear when your Opportunity Buff is ready to use!

After nature's fury i have bloom on 4, Flourish on 5. I use keybindings for my 3 action bars, the action bar above my first one is bound to shift + 1, Shift + 2 etc.

    Shift + 1 = Essence Surge
    Shift + 2 = Natural healing
Shift + 3 = Natural Splendor --> Amazing Aoe use it when fighting 5+ monsters that will survive throughout the 7sec channel
Shift + 4 = Wild Growth --> Gives 10% Extra damage done to enemies use it whenever it is off its cooldown
Shift + 5 = Entropic Viel --> It's your Charge spender, gives you 20% damage done, helps alot use it whenever wild growth is down.

    Cleansing Macro:

    #show Nature's Cleansing
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group01 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group02 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group03 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group04 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group05 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group06 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group07 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group08 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group09 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group10 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group11 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group12 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group13 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group14 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group15 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group16 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group17 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group18 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group19 Nature's Cleansing
    cast @group20 Nature's Cleansing

This macro will cleanse anyone if able. so becareful when using it such as the greenscale fight you dont want to cleanse the offtank

I Hope you enjoy the build! PST/Mail Cheef if you have any problems / questions regarding mage builds

Only macros I use are Mousovers. PLEASE DO NOT MACRO RADIANT SPORES!! You waste a lot of GCDs since the duration of radiant spores is longer than the CD.

As a fan of educating, I will expound...

Radiant Spores should be on its own. You should always consciously be placing it on groups of enemies, and making sure only one chloro in the group is using it. It will be up again faster than it wears off, thus you also have the ability to maintain it on two groups simultaneously.

Ruin should generally not be spammed on cooldown. Saving it for when you need to move is far more preferable, unless it is a fight without a lot of movement, then you can just hit it separately. I have it macrod as such so it is only used on the move:

    Nature's Touch
    Vile Spores
    Ruin
    Withering Vine

but you should not necessarily have Nature's Touch in that macro unless you have the 4pc HK crystal so that Void Life lowers Nature's Touch cast time.

Void Life should be by itself because if you are tank healing you are going to spam this constantly so nothing else should be going off when you do. I am considering macroing stuff under it for movement as well though.

Of course, what macros you use is completely up to your playstyle, and if you are aware of the above implications you may be able to do well with the macros you listed. But only really if you have these spells as separate keybinds as well for conscious use.

I will agree that the cleanse macro is a necessity and every single healing build in the game should be using it.

Also, make mouseoverui macros for every one of your direct heals.

When I main tank heal in a chloro spec, I've always found it usefull to keep RS on a different hotkey, have void life, Nature's Touch, Nature's Fury and ruin either in macro or hotkeyed easily. Withering Vine is also very usefull as it applies a heal to anybody in melee range. Mixing that with your RS is very handy indeed. I've also noticed WV heal party/raid members when they have been charged.

My note: Spam VL if you're using Synthesis, tap Nature's Touch on Oppurtinty (reason for Opp macro to have NT and NF), then just keep RS and WV up. Typically on a pull I will:

    RS
    WV
    Void Life
(Hit Nature's Touch or Nature's Fury on Opp)

51 Chloro can be used for raid healing; however there are definitely better builds out there for increased damage. Just spam Vile Spores with LGV up and you're pretty set. Don't forget about Flourish and Wild Growth for those AoE moments.

Also, speaking about damage, it's worth letting newer people know that Chloro heals are a direct result from damage done. The more Life damage you can do, the higher you're heals are going to have. Void Life does less damage per channel than Vile Spores does per hit. Void Life has increased ST healing on the person you have Synthesized.

Since this is a "Chloromancer" guide, I would suggest mentioning the Chlorolock support healing build and the Chloropyrolock for raid healing. I've easily hit 3k HPS alone in those builds, but the Chloropyrolock has higher damage (think chloro heals) and a lower GCD for that cleanse macro.

Please don't make any more guides. The spec is wrong, the macros are horrible, even the font color is annoying.

For the love of all that is holy, this guide is terrible. I think there's a much better one, but I have no idea where it is....

But seriously, this guide is completely inadequate. The guide in my signature is mine and does far more to explain how to play chloromancer (to the point where former guild mates said I wrote a bloody encyclopedia).

Everything aside from the cleanse macro in this guide should be ignored.

The only macros you should use as chloro are these:

    1) The cleanse macro
    2) A macro that indicates you have put wild growth up
    3) A macro that indicates you have battle rezzed someone

Mouseovers are fine for bloom/essence surge/natural healing but aren't necessary by any stretch.

If you're using more that are related to the chloromancer soul, you're doing it wrong.

You mean you don't have obnoxious yells macro'd to all your abilities to make people question your sanity?!

I wouldn't put Radiant Spores in a macro :S. You'll override it at 5 seconds left and its a waste of a GCD. It's better to just watch the timer and cast it when its done.

Question: Is this pre-HK build or after? D:

Sacrificing GoP for a 2% increase in opportunity... that alone sets the tone for the guide..

It's pre-HK, as OP states, no HK 4piece.

Everyone else has pointed out the issues with the rest of the post. Quite seriously, I think it's great that people still want to share how they do what they do. So thanks for that OP, and hopefully you use your edit rights well!
