I continue seeing lots of recommendation specs for potential improvements, but I see one thing recurring in the proposed specs (I also saw this mentioned once early in the thread)...
For maxing out on solo dummy parsing, I understand having 5/5 castigation. However, in a raid setting with Archon's Burning Purpose (casting speed increased by 10%)...wouldn't it be more ideal to remove a point or two from castigation? I haven't been able to tell if 3/5 castigation is 1.53s or if it is rounded down to 1.5s (does this game operate on hundredths of a second in formulas?), but 5/5 castigation is forcing you to momentarily wait on the 1.5GCD to refresh, being that BoJ will be below the 1.5s timer with an archon present. I know castbar spells that are allowed to go off, just like instant casts, apply to the GCD (for example: Healing Communion with serendipity is 0.5s, and you still have to wait 1s before casting the next spell).
Couldn't ST-dps be improved a little by, say, moving the swapped point(s) to add to Symbol of Corruption or picking up Ekkehard's Invocation (as mentioned later in the thread) without losing out elsewhere?
parsed over 3k dps on the pts solo, 3-4 min parse, going for 6 min parse later on. i think i topped out at 3030.
Whilst I'm sure this is wonderful news to you, it is completely irrelevant to us. You haven't provided any information regarding your gear, your trinket, your stats or even which build you used.
I'm happy you're happy, but can we keep this thread constructive? There are still question marks regarding 36 v 35 point builds, and I guess also which 36 point build is best. There seem to be three choices, one will require an Archon to parse though.

Yo guys. I have a serious question for you and i'm not trying to *** out.
I've seen a couple people comment this build is great for fights w no movement. Why would movement have an impact when you use it? Warriors and bloodstalkers have to dps in melee range regardless of movement.
I use ahovs inquisitor now but i'm trying to up my deeps and looking at options. Since i also tank, heal, farm, pvp, i'm not sure i can justify the use of one role for limited fights... But honestly it doesn't seem too limited to me as i also play a warrior.
Thanks for opinions if this build is truly movement limited. Or if is just a learning curve issue for clerics and melee range.

FT Conq, and would be EE Conq if Trion would fix Cannibal Corpse's bugged achieve.

There are a lot of viable variants depending on your raid make up. I wasn't trying to pinhole any particular build, we've moved on from the old cookie cutter days.
Personally I'm trying to justify keeping this build in one of my 6, and I've been putting together some numbers when I can. I'd like to see some more definitive theorycrafting here as well, I know I should be posting results but time can be such a constraint.
What am I missing ? Quietmode is already freaking me out with stories that Boofhead may be back. This spec looks unchanged heading into 1.8, it's niche, but a nice kind of niche.

37 was what parsed ~60 DPS higher on dummy for me, but unsure how it will scale in raids due to the specific build I used: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=00...0L.yxoVgx0V.-5
I am sure there are much better raid specific builds available but that seems to always parse the highest for me by reapplying SH whenever possible.
Because you are casting in melee range. Spamming BoJ while needing to be in melee to apply LH/Jolt. If the boss moves while you are casting you have to either stop or move close once cast finishes. Likewise, if a mechanic happens during a cast forcing you to move before it finishes. All cause DPS loss, while warriors/rogues are using their attack 100% on the move as much as standing still
Tried out a 36/21/9 build http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=10...q.ixbzt.V0L.-5 and got 2156, 2178and 2153 over 3 8 minute parses.
Tried out a 35/21/10 build http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=10...q.ixbzt.V0x.-5 and got 2087, 2073 and 2043 over 3 8 minute parses.
I have 3P HK (Boots/Belt/Shoulders), then a mish mash of RoTP/HK and RoS/GSB gear with a HK 1h. My SP is around 2.2k and crit 896 when raid buffed.
Lol
I don't have the Inq crystal (its a long explanation).
Whilst messing with my Shamicar build last night I used my shaman crystal for BnJ.
I made a macro with massive blow and the 3 dots in it.
Well it was quite funky to get the reduced GCD to the dot casts.
Seemed very quickly I was back onto the BoJ spam.

Rift is the Rachael of Bladerunner, we can never know exactly how long it will live, but it will burn so bright whilst it does.
I haven't had a chance to parse this is raid situations but after some dummy parses I'm looking forward to trying

If someone already posted something similar I apologize in advance.
In the build I omitted clinging spirits because my guild's inquisitor/inquisicar keeps it up consistently so I don't need to. I may change that if I were raiding without another inquisitor/inquisicar. I omitted agressive renewal, it is a DPS loss and regens less mana than 1 pt into Endless Winter. I only put 3 pts into castigation assuming the archon will have a cast time reduction buff up only 3 pts are needed. I put 2 pts into symbol of corruption because even at 5 it wasn't a significant DPS gain but I expect a higher boost from it than having redundant clinging spirits in the build. I used Circle of Oblivion to give just extra functionality on fights like Matron where some AE damage may be desired (if your guild uses tomes you could pop soul drain and CoO to help AE down the adds) Shaman points seem to be pretty standard. I did add a single point in endless winter and noticed that after an 11 minute dummy parse I was still at 100 percent mana where previously I could only get 4-5 minutes tops without going OOM.
I still have DoT's macro'd for simplicity's sake and don't really feel that changing it was a significant DPS increase. The potential for DPS decrease seemed greater if one of more DoTs were not refreshed when they fell off.
Using this build I completely allowed all DoT's to fall off including Sanction Heretic before reapplying. Reapplying SH on proc from the inquisitor crystal was a significant DPS loss.
I welcome feedback on this and will be testing it tonight on a couple of fights and posting parses after.
