Almost every spec has a talented mez/stun break.
Every pvp tree has a mez/stun break just for picing up the tree and has another talented mez/stun break.
Maybe you should stop skipping those?

I once got feared into a pillar and got stuck in there.
Had to leave warfront.
Best CC of all time, nerf plz kkthxbai.
i just wanna know how you can get transmogrified and then keep taking damage from all sorts of sources and not break free, i lost over 500hp before it poofed me out. and this happened several times.
you can get an upgrade in dom tree now where an enemy can take up to 5% of your max health in dmg before transmorgify breaks plus 0.5% of your maximum health for every point spent in dominator, but only for enemies above 70% health according to zam. Atm at the lvl 35 level cap this means they can squirrel you and potentially hit you for 22.5%? of the dom's max health in dmg before you break I guess. Which is potentially pretty cheap for a long lasting instant cast cc effect with cast/dmg buffs.

CC is a difficult thing to balance. At least, my experience with Dark Ages of Camelot suggest as much. If they can balance the CC abilities against the counters to CC I think the game will be fine. Mind you, this will take months to do. Currently CC is broken powerful in the beta because most of the anti-CC abilities are high up in the skill trees. At the end game there will be more people with more CC resistance and counters.
There are some pretty bad imbalances that no amount of defensive counters will ever overcome. A full spec dominator will be able to kill you from 100-0 while you're turned into a squirrel. This is from a soul that also has a ton of other CC (but barely needs any of it) on top of whatever they get from another soul.
Consider facing a more damage focused mage spec'd like so:
http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0z...xtbtccbo.xx00z
Let's see:
Instant cast Transmogrify, and it causes their next spell to do 50% increased damage, and to gain 50% haste for 5 seconds.
Fear
Instant cast AoE fear.
AoE Mez
Single target channeled Mez
70% snare.
2.5 second instant stun
3 second root that causes a 50% snare when it wears off (unless you choose not to move at all, in which case you're effectively rooted)
Tons of different movement, attack speed, damage and healing debuffs.
All of this on top of the damage that a warlock can put out. Granted, this warlock is going to be some what squishy, but if he manages to get any CC on you at all, he can keep you CC'd for a long time and do a ton of damage in the process.
Let's say that instead he specs like so:
http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0z...xtbtccbo.xx00z
Less damage over all, but an even more ridiculous level of CC and debuffs. If this guy gets the chance to cast a single instant cast transmogrify on you, you may be dead before you ever manage to get off any damage or healing. Have fun dealing with multiple snares, stuns, CCs, stacking debuffs, healing debuffs, DoTs, hasted voidbolts, etc.
The single Break Free from your PvP spec + 1-2 CC removers from your normal souls is not going to matter to some one who can layer this many types of CC and debuffs. Once he gets his hooks into you, it'll be a long time before you can be much of a threat.

There's a talent that allows them to do up to 30% of their health in damage before you break free, and it works as long as the target is above 70%, so they can Transmog, deal damage til you break out, and then if you're still above 70%, transmog again and take you to maybe 50-60%. And then they can still transmog you again, but the first damage will break it.
So you can easily be <50% before you get to start fighting back (at which point you can be CCd in other ways).
It's amazingly strong, but Dominators basically are nothing but CC bots. Where they're really screw you is in a well coordinated team, keeping your heals locked down forever while the rest of your team gets killed.
