Default Coordinated 1 Shot = Easy

I am not really calling for a nerf, but more of a mechanic fix. The Saboteur is probably the only class in the game with the synergy to 1 shot someone right now. Now take into account that it takes 5 seconds to build up (whippy do), 5 seconds in PvP is nothing. This mechanic seems oddly misplaced. Think about it from a different perspective (the Warrior). Allow him to hit someone 5 times but the damage is actually on reserve instead of over time to allow the healers to react. Now give him a finisher that allows him to apply ALL that damage and the finisher into 1 move; now you have a Warrior based Saboteur. This mechanic works for any class in the game and virtually no healer can anticipate the 1 shot and heal a 2k dmg hit based on 2k health allies/self.

So, now get a 5-10 Man PvP group together with 3 Sab's and the other team has no chance, even a well coordinated team. Below is how the combat would unfold in ventrilo.

Target Caller - Call target (whoever) and gives 1-2 seconds to aquire target for the other 2 Sab's.
Target Caller - Charges out (waits 4 seconds) - basically time to place 4 charges.
    ---Team places 5 charges each.
Target Caller - Detonate in 3-2-1. BOOM!!!! Dead Target PERIOD!

Target Caller - Next Target (#2) Repeat = The Win easily.

I am fairly certain that this combination of Team will appear because it's inherently overpowered mechanic. This needs to be addressed before it gets abused.

If this was the case, Rogues would be in high demand to stun lock Sabo's. If it takes five seconds, don't give it to them. As a rogue, I can stunlock someone for eight seconds, and snare them until death.

The things about sabs are, their abilities are pretty noticible. If you see a BIG *** circle under you, you obviously should get out of it.

I disagree with 5 seconds not being anything....

5 seconds can make or break it.

I agree 100%. As I said before, I can stunlock someone for eight seconds. That is eight seconds you are sitting there taking backstabs and final blows to the back. Most people die in those eight seconds.

Go take a look at this guys thread about the subject and you will see the truth.

......and Stun Locking someone for 8 seconds? Trinket, friends, CC are your enemy. Sab's can stay fairly safe inside their group + heals to cover them while they set up for the kill.

You obviously didn't read my post, because I said 5-10 man groups, not 1 vs 1. Your Assassins die just as fast as you come out of stealth to be honest. Never had a problem with them in War Fronts or World PvP unless I was solo PvE and they were level 30 ganking. Ganking is not PvP, its just that.......Ganking. Ganking takes no skill.

Oh hey focus on that sab
Oh hey focus on that cleric
Oh hey focus on that ranger
Oh hey focus on that mage
Oh hey focus on that void knight
Oh hey focus on that rogue who stun locked me.

NEWSFLASH, you can't focus on everyone, there are clear unbalance issues at the moment.

Also if 3-4 of your 5-10 man are not doing anything for 5 seconds, what do you think the other team will be doing in the mean time. Concentrating all that effort on one attack may turn out to be ineffecient.

/Coordinated/ 1 shot will always be easy no matter how the game balances. 5 people on voice chat that can call out targets and assist will wreck a larger group of players that are less coordinated.

You guys are missing the point the OP is trying to make, he is not bragging. I have experienced almost exactly that same scenerio.

I went up against a pair of sabos that were obviously working together with the same builds.

my guess is sabo/marksman and ranger maybe, where they were chain slowing everyone with adhesive bomb (should be an immunity timer on that) and they then hammered people down very fast .

I myself cornered one and I had a tank spec with full health he got off three or four abilities (with adhesive bomb making me an easy target) and killed me.No tank class should be put away that easy, defeats the purpose of a tank.

    Default ya and nay

Its true this 1 shot method is out there but what you are really saying when you get down to it is its 3 on 1. 1 sabo alone will take far to long to kill you but then i dont know of many people who can last long at all with 3 v1 odds. I play a sabo alot and i think they are very fun. 2 problems i have tho , hps are to low and time to place 3 sets of charges to kill something is to long.
Also i think someone said get a rune to keep shield up or play a class that has a shield up. Otherwise just keep behind the rest of the grp and let them target someone else.
