Default Fastest 'solo' Class/Spec to level?

My experience is pretty limited, but I get the general feeling that some classes/specs can level far faster that others (using general questing). Just wondering if there is one that beats out the best.

    So far I've tried:
-Paladin/RB to 30 and is fairly fast to level so far. Rarely have to stop to drink and soloing elites is pretty awesome.

-Sham/Justicar cleric feels slow although he's still lower level so perhaps it will speed up with more +crit if it becomes available(?). Not sure why a dps spec kills mobs slower than a tank spec (especially when I'm Sham heavy with my points).

-Mage feels really fast. Pretty much zero downtime and kills mobs quick. I've tried pyro/lock and necro/lock.

I avoided rogues simply because a combo-point building rogue is what I played in the last MMO I dedicated my time to and I'm burnt out on anything similar. I could see rogue ranged specs being really fast tho.

Unfortunately for you, Rogue probably is the fastest. It's hard to beat being able to stealth past mobs to quest objectives.

I would say Clerics with a shaman/inquisitor/justicar (the old "duracell") spec would be the fastest at leveling, at least it was for me. Soul drain plus high melee damage plus healing from damage. Not as survivable at level 50 as it once was. Inquisicar is similarly effective as it still has soul drain but it's more designed for range and needs more points in Inquisitor to be effective. I haven't tried a Paladin based build for leveling though. Necro/lock was a bit more tedious than the cleric build for me.

Not really unfortunate for me, per se. I'm just generally wondering. Having fun with the three classes I listed so far...might end up with a level 50 of each eventually. I like the cleric armor and animations the best out of any of them so far...but it has been the slowest for me (I'm probably doing something wrong).

Not having to stealth past those mobs because you can kill them all is better exp. Warrior or cleric fastest.

If you're after fast levelling stealthing past mobs isthe last thing you ever want to do. Grinding mobs offers quicker XP than questing.

If you stealth past mobs you'll find yourself running out of quests before you hit milestones and are able to move on.

That never, ever happened to me in two L50 rogues. Of course, I also made good use of XP vials.

I'd go with Shamicar. It's almost effortless to do anything as Shamicar

Vials only boost xp from killing mobs so you just wasted it when you stealthed

    Default Warrior

Warrior is the best at everything. You want leveling? How about pvp? Want some exploring? Want to be useful in raids and dungeons at level 50? Just remember to wear plate because you can. Don't want to die as a warrior? Don't jump off a cliff (except when you want the spendy teleport to the soul healer to save time.)

Also, level as beastmaster/ paragon, pvp as beastmaster/reaver and dungeon as full RB. Once you get to T2 gear in either pve or pvp, it really doesn't matter where you put your soul points as long as they are all in dps trees. Tanking is a different story but, -don't worry- there's only one truly viable tank spec to memorize.
Wanna talk about speedy quests? Plate keeps you from getting dismounted. A level 50 rogue gets booted off his mount with a love-tap from a baby gnar.

Not really. You learn to maximize the use by using them during "kill quest" spurts.

You know that quest in SM where you have to obtain 3 objects off werewolves? Back when the game first came out that quest had a horrible drop rate. I ended up killing around a hundred of those wolves before I got my spectacles of quest objectiveness.

Those vials originally also boosted all XP gains. Turning in a round of quests bumped you from fresh 49 to 50 easy.

    Ah, the good ol' days.

51 Champ for pve and general questing. RB is only viable for pvp.

Stealth rogues take double the time to do a quest, having to stealth and backstab their way through every mob. Way easier to just bullrush everything. Mages are a bit slow too.

The option really is a Cleric. No downtime at all.

    Anything but rogues. =P

Since you're asking for the fastest, don't bother with questing. Find an AOE build and go nuts on melee mobs.

The truth is now it probably doen't matter. If I was starting now, I would just IA to level. Since you can mentor down in the mid-game where there's no IA available yet.

Just pick the one you you enjoy the most! Why? you prob. will play longer per game-session, and thus level faster :P(in terms of weeks, not hours)
    beside dont:
just dont quest do ia's, do dungeons, do zone-events, and maybe do some questing while you are there anyway. will be 50 before you know it
