Rogue tanks and others LEATHYS ONLY

We, Exposure, have used a rogue tank to tank Laethys in P1 since beginning progression, and we have been killing it using one. We have not had any issues. All the rogue cds work on the breath.

the only tank that would be dicey is a cleric because of the lack of effective HP (the armor wouldn't make up for it since breath is non-physical).

Cleric tanks have about 50% magical damage reduction (multiplied with resists), far better than warrior tanks. Not to mention more cooldowns.

Planar Vortex reflects damage taken to generate threat, which would only happen if your cleric tank fell asleep and wasn't spamming DoL when the adds came out. There's nothing to say a rogue couldn't tank Laethys -- the only tank that would be dicey is a cleric because of the lack of effective HP (the armor wouldn't make up for it since breath is non-physical).

That's Rift Barrier. :P But regardless the point is false. Even when unable to port to the boss without moving her, a RS can keep Planar Vortex up to generate threat for 16 of every 25 seconds with just Shadow Warp and Flashback. If adds other than Wizened are in range to be hit by Planar Vortex you're doing it wrong.

Vortex, Barrier, I hate tanking on my rogue so I forget. But yeah, the underlying point remains, if you have the adds at a point where the passive threat gens are damaging a rogue tanking Laethys, that's...not good.
