If they gave me a way to transfer my PA's to my rogue I would have phased out my cleric months ago.

People have their reasons. But most clerics can get to 50 in a matter of a few days or less. Not sure what level you are, but they are out there.
Where's the Auction House to buy more DPS for my cleric?
I was just looking over the guardian recruite threads in the travel hub and guess which class is most asked for??
Thats right, clerics.
Warriors and rogues now out AOE dps us. Everyone always out ST dps us. Mages raid heal better than us AND out DPS us. Why would anyone want to play 3rd and 4th fiddle anymore. The only thing clerics are still good at are tank heals and then only when playng 51 puri. And you only need 1-2 tank healers in a raid.

Lets also think about this, Yes warriors can out dps you, but that's one of 2 things we can only do, Clerics can do EVERYTHING and so you have the mediocore values of everything. Same goes for Mages, they can only DPS or Heal. And so they excel in both. Rogues can do 3 but they have ranged and so they do better than warriors in range. Trust me when i saw all this, I'm a warrior and have no alts, i get pissed in ID becuase i'm extremely useless through most fights, Got a good tank for Ituziel so i'm 5th or 6th in DPS and dead last of the DPS on Conclave (for now) on Marklymos I'm 1st or 2nd with the other warriors and as for Russila I'm in the middle, not that it really counts for that boss.
So be happy that you can do Ranged DPS becuase we warriors can't! (1500-2000 DPS is **** on any fight)

Well, mages can also support (archon, duh!). There are 4 classes though, so each class needs to be the best at 25% of them. Warriors may only have 2 roles, but because theyre the best at those 2 roles, it skews the whole system. TBH, warlord should change into a support spec -- but wait the warrior community asked Trion to not give them a true support role back in beta. How many roles you can perform has nothing to do with what your dps, etc should be.
The is Rift now WoW, all classes should be able to perform their roles equally with the same trole for other classes. Cleric DPS has lagged behind, theyve tried the bandaid fix, but they need to do more.
And yes, I do have a 50 in each calling, right now the warrior is my favorite because of how easy it is to play and general risk vs reward. Oh and yes, I am in ID -- so I am aware of the limitations melee classes claim to have.
I have been trying to level a cleric for 2 days now but I am doing something wrong. Either the souls I am using are wrong or my rotation. It takes me forever to kill stuff. Nearly every guide I find is for max level and the few I find for leveling are outdated.
This is the number one problem I see with Rift overall, it is too hard to get back into due to information being spread all over the place and almost all info pertaining to max level only.
I thought the Dev's philosophy was for all roles to be equally good at things? Not have a class with mediocre roles simply because they could perform more roles and that would be some sort of balancing measure. 3 of the classes perform at least 3 roles anyways so I don't see that as a valid reason to make clerics have some inferior roles. Technically I don't think clerics are really a support class since justicar is our support soul for some odd reason. I think maybe the other classes are just better at complaining and this gets them added focus and attention or our class dev really plays another class and is really distanced from cleric issues.

This has been tested already. Actually, you want proof go check the guides forums. Cleric dps has been tested with both bis relic HK and ID gear. Cleric dps is actually VERY strong and competitive and they provide great tanks with Brez and heal support. Mitigation is on par with reaver.

Clerics are insanely useful at any level of gameplay.
why play cleric when rouges are the best.
Cleric: OH MY GOD, nobody plays cleric, it sucks ! I can't heal for **** ! I need a buff *cries*
Mage: OH MY GOD, everyone targets me, it sucks ! I can't survive for **** ! I can't solo **** an entire team ! *cries*
Warrior: OH MY GOD I CAN FINALY DO DAMAGE ! Wait, is that plate armor protecting m- * dies*
Rogue: Please no more pre 1.5 *Huddles in a fetal position*
