Fastest way to solo from 49 to 50?

But I just want to be done with the final level on my 5th character. What's the fastest way to solo from 49 to 50? I'm running out of good quests for XP. Pugs for dungeons really aren't my style. Onslaughts are impossible solo for me, and PUGs really aren't all that common anymore. I guess I could just do more mindless grinding in Stillmoore and Shimmersand, but that's getting old.

So what's the best way you think for the last level? I'd really like to grind it out and put on all my nice 1.4 and dungeon gear that I'll be twinking myself with as soon as possible.

While it isn't soloing, IAs get that last level super quick. But for true soloing, get an AoE grind spec, pull a boat load of mobs in the castle in Stillmoor, and AoE them down. Rinse and repeat.

I find IA to be one of the fastest, provided you have a decent sized group doing them anyway.

If you're not using IAs to level from 45-50, you're basically doing it wrong.

With all but one of my 12 50s I finished up at Sunblind Ascent for the last level. Shimmersand just above the Oasis. Level 49s. I make sure I'm fully rested cus thats the way I rotate chars so they always are that way. You can pop a vial if you have one. Some of the guys there give 2500XP and the rewards from the quests give a good boost. Takes me about an hour sometimes less. And they drop nice cloth. If you are able to do the AOE its much faster. I would have finished my Warrior there who is still sitting somwhere on the sand at 49... But gave up a month or so ago. Shame really. Unlucky 13.

If there is an invasion then they always make for the camp there and just in through the hole you can just spend like an age rotating your kill cycle as they come through the cave opening.

If you're not using IAs to level from 45-50, you're basically doing it wrong.

that all depends on server population.

on my server, ia is hit or miss.

you might find people there at peak times but the rest of the time its dead

Yeah depending on server, IAs are now the fastest way. It's boring to me though, and I have quest OCD, so its still questing all the way for me.

XP pots do not scale with IA XP.

Quickest way 49-50 is the big troll type mobs in stillmoor. Plenty around and all charge at you so easy to pull.

Killed that many of those thinsg getting 5 toons to 50 I've blocked out their name.

Well, I popped a 100% XP potion (I actually forgot I had them on that character). I couldn't do Ember Isle IA's, but in doing the Shimmersand one, it took me less than 1 hour to go from 49 to 50 (I still have 1h on the buff).

Now I got my new mount, EI crafted bow, full set of 1.4 crafted gear, some purple 50 boots and pants, and an Orch necklace. I'll throw some purple Runes on it tomorrow and I should be T2 ready (or close to it).

I mainly wanted to come here and say that apparently you can't do the Ember Isle Instant Adventures at level 49 (I tried), but Shimmer worked just nicely ... and a little gloating.
