Returning player question about Callings/Purpose

Hi, i'm a returning player (been gone since 1.6) and i noticed that i have to choose right from the start a "purpose" and cannot create my own.
My question is : Is there a way to make your own purpose right from the start or do i have to choose one of the default ones and wait to get to the main city to respec ?

As soon as you get past character creation you can change souls and put points elsewhere and it will "invalidate" the purpose. It couldn't hurt to allow a "custom" purpose on creation.

Thanks a lot TheGrinnz and yeah i agree with you or at least let us know we can change our souls as soon as we log in the game.
