    Default pvp atunement vs pvp souls

    Which does everyone prefer? the attunement idea or pvp souls...or none?

    I personally think that there should be no specific attunement solely for pvp and the pve attunements should splatter randomly useful things. Being completely honest pvp souls cause an imbalance and nothing other than a CC break should exist as baseline.. Furthermore heal debuffs should share a 10-20 second cd available to all classes causing a 50% healing debuff that causes a blocker from reapplication as baseline should heal debuffs exist in game. I also believe that there should be a segregation of brackets between those who want organised pvp and those who are more serious by using coordinated configurations. While I do not want an arena style of gaming it would be nice to have the ability to make full use of the armor we earn in a tactical match.

    My appologies for the wall of text, itis my opinion and I haven't taken any litterature in a long time.

    Since the PVP attunement shares with the elemental planes of attunement, I don't like the PVP attunement.

    Of course there is an imbalance. There will always be an imbalance as long as MMORPGs let you progress your character. Some people will always progress more/faster than others - that's an imbalance. You can't get rid of imbalance without getting rid of character progression. And no one wants to get rid of character progression, that's half the fun of the genre.

    My only dislike to the pvp atunement is that a R1 PvErs easily can get alle the PvP atunements way ealier than becoming anywhere near rank 40. This could however easily be fixed by introducing some rank requirements on particular points in the PvP atunement tree (like the abilities besides break free).

    You just want to stomp new players and you are afraid that they can defend themselfes :P

    Since the pvp-PA shares the points of the pve-PA I won't spend one single point into them - I prefer pve-effectiveness and 2/3 of a pve-plane are good for pvp too, while pvp-stuff is aimed to be useless for pve.
    If I had the roles for pvp I'd be rather disappointed in the pvp-PA - to become this immortal-cleric myth 21 points on the pvp soul was required to have a chance against all those heal-debuffs, stuns & silences. I don't think that cleric-heals will be un-nerfed at the same time, so we will suffer as much as mages do.

    Clear winners are warriors - their pvp soul was so useless that anything would be an upgrade. Every rogue will get a heal debuff, so they win too. Mages are screwed and say good bye to the rare pug-heal cleric, he went from endangered to extinct.

    For my daily-pvp-wipes (a pita) I'll gain the free break free and 37 free PA levels for my mighty PvE :P

    I really don't see the problem with allowing players new to level 50 to be competitive. I heard they are removing rank requirements for gear as well, which is good. New players will be able to get good weapons faster, allowing them to be competitive in PvP. Lets face it the current system makes new/low rank players relatively useless. The only time they are useful is when they are in a rank matched game. Get a rank 8 in there and anyone below rank 6 is done.
    Harrow (because it was the only one I could select) - Wicked, Dead, Atheist, Grunt.

    Actually, they're not removing the rank requirements from weapons, just armor/accessories.

    spend more time ingame (pvp AND pve) get more attunement.
    sound like a normal system of an mmo.

    and that's what keeps players on the game and rift alive.

    i like rift and so i like the new system.

    stop complaining about everything. trion just tries to hold the people in the game and imo does a great job to accomplish that.

    stop threats like:

    let me respecc everything
    giv me back my lessers because i don't what to override them
    i need a new race/class let me use my charater
    xyz is so unfair
    PVE'rs are so evil / i only do PVP but i what everything a PVE'r have!
    PVP'rs are so evil / i only do PVE but i what everything a PVP'r have!
    im new i should get everything other people worked hard for instant
    my new toon should get everything my old main got

    blablabla etc

    You sure on that? When I looked at the weapons there was no rank requirement just trade weapon x for weapon y.

    Maybe they changed it? I just remember them saying they were retaining the rank requirement on weapons earlier in the testing process.

    I like the attunement, I wish it only worked from Prestige Attunement rather than general XP Attunement.

    Could be. TBH I don't PVP much, my main is a warrior and tanking in dungeons and then in PVP, 38 vk something else, was getting old.
