As far as I know, no one on my server (Seastone) has found the mushrooms around the trees. We've tried for hours, and level 50 chat is full of frustrated people who wonder if the quest is bugged.
Anyone know?

After an hour of searching, my party and I found one only to have someone roll up and snatch it. This quest is horribly done, worst on low pop servers. Please increase the spawn rate to you know, actually spawning more than one zone wide.
Quit. {All exploits are equal, but some are more equal than others}
"Well, perhaps your feelings may be different," said Alice; "all I know is, it would feel very queer to me."
"You!" said the Caterpillar contemptuously. "Who are you?"
After searching Scarwood twice from top to bottom, finding two rares, four artifacts, 8 new locations (one of which I had no idea even existed), and even coming across Durnes, I have yet to see a single mushroom. Asking around chat, the most anyone has found that they're willing to admit to is 2; they also camp the location for 15-30 minutes before another one spawns. And you have to plant 5 of the things.
Ya know, it's one thing to have a weekly quest; it's something else entirely to make a quest take a week.

i got 2 and they were in the same place. I hunted for more than 2 hours tonight, got plenty of logs, ore and flowers even some fish. Only One Rare NPC. Maybe 1 artifact...
Thank you for posting a picture, running all around for hours and not even knowing what the thing looks like just makes it worse.
This is the kind of stuff that makes people want to delete the game.
Amen. I spent an hour on my own and found one mushroom. I left the zone in frustration. Once it was the last quest I had left, I returned. I was lucky enough to get invited to a group of folks who also needed to plant trees. Each person staked out a known mushroom spawn point and called out when there was a spawn. Sometimes we made it before some third party came along and popped it, sometimes not. But it was still faster than trying to solo it.
No event quest should take 2 (or more) hours to complete. This quest needs to be fixed.

Love the summer quests. As an established 50 I found all but 1 quest very easy if you've done the quests when leveling.
This "Plant Trees" quests in Scarwood is ridiculously dumb. This is a great idea gone horribly wrong in the implementation phase. It started out with 4 of us in a group looking all over for just under 2 hours and we could not find a single mushroom patch. Then we pulled the 20+ from the guild to camp and search for them... needless to say we could not find any.
If we are expected to get 5 of something 20 people could not find in over 3 hours of searching and waiting.... I'd expect a LOT of all players will not be completing this quest. More importantly, only doing enough of the quests to get the 2 essences they need for their Sigil and not doing any more summer quests because of frustration.
With all the stuff to do, i didn't expect some of the quests to be as easy as they were but I really didn't expect one to be an absolutely useless time suck that no normal player could complete.

It's broken. It has been been since PTS. It's 'working as intended' if that's what they want. There's 11 spawn points in the zone where they can come up. And only up for 5 mins.
This is so incredibly stupid. I cannot believe they thought this was a good idea. Either way, they will have to fix it or very few people will complete this. I'm not even going to bother til it's patched. I see raidful of 50s running around all hours of the day searching.
With the other challenges being able to be finished within a moderate amount of time (between 15-30 minutes) the fact that this one takes so long to even find one of the spawn points much less the mushroom patches themselves is kind of ridiculous.
Seriously, I have been running around Scarwood Reach since yesterday non-stop and haven't seen a single mushroom ring. Don't even know what they look like. This is the only quest part I haven't finished. Please up the spawns, Devs.
Thanks for those pics, good to see that the shrooms are good visibility.
this is a ridiculous quest with a spawn rate to bore one to tears.
not fun.
i'd heard a lot about you guys and your constant and interesting content updates, so i came back. is this really what i'm paying for? to be trolled via spawn rates?
