    Thanks for the motivation. Got around to putting Ubuntu 64 on my home computer. Was met with the dreaded authentication error while trying to log in to Rift. Tried with a lite account and my main. The launcher was able to update without issue, the wibblyweb links for the game adverts worked, but no login love, error 2016. Will try again when I have more than three hours of sleep to look forward to.

    Leave your servers, other servers are more active. If you don't, Trion will eventually do it for you. Server merges will be inc eventually. I was on deepstrike which was poppin with high activity as a pvp and raiding server, within 2 weeks all 5-6 big raiding guilds left. Server died. Well, it was already dead anyway. That's why the big guilds left..

    Hmm I play on the Argent shard which is(also) a low populated server, but we manage our invasions in EI.
    Have not been in an invasion that failed that quite some time now, so personally dont see the issue.
    But we dont have to deal with PvP while doing our invasions most of the times, and guardians and defiants strive to complete the invasion goals instead of bothering eachother

    IF however it happens frequently on your server(which I can understand is a *****) you might want to consider to switch shards. Personally not a big fan of this though since generally the population always have peaks and lows, and normally it will balance out over time

    True, events rarely fail on Argent . Last one I remember was an Ei event about 2 weeks ago :P.
    If you are not fast to get to the boss, you miss him :P

    Honestly, my biggest issue with El is not so much the lack of people, its the 20+ people hanging around the defense arches when it only takes 2 to protect one that bothers me while 3 guys try to complete the event.

    I don't think the content should be nerfed at all. Basically (as said on this thread already) the pop of your shard is failing. It happened on Blightweald. Took some ppl a long time to admit it (including me). Just moved to Icewatch and, hey ho, all is well and busy in Telara.

    I'd forgotten how good a high pop shard is. Trion won't merge the shards because it looks bad - but if they did they could well hold on to a lot of ppl that will otherwise leave. Rift is fine, but the shards just aren't.

    so you call an entire region (that being EN-EU) having 1.5 active servers a good place to be at? I find that hard to believe :P

    An issue that was introduced last year (I think). Trion made that the easy way out with the zone events for EI. Tag a few invasions per phase, you get an inscribed. Thus an easy three to five stones with another ten i think it is on top of that for the end boss completion.

    Moving servers doesn't solve the problem I originally posted. I am not asking for flat-rate nerfs to content. I am simply asking if the event requirements would scale more dynamically to the zones population. What's going to happen to Ember Isle when Storm Legion comes out? Zone event's will fail quickly because there's only a few in that zone with steep requirements. That's not going to look pleasing to newcomers to the game. Sure, the games huge level-up process is vastly done and over with until Storm Legion.

    Simply put, this is long-term thinking of a topic. Short term, shard transfers won't solve the original post. Then again, I don't know why I am arguing that, as someway somehow what i post will become twisted.

    This issue is not with just the Ember Isle invasions, it is with any invasion. Honestly, Trion attempted to nip it in the bud with EI. The invasions at the launch of EI gave 15 ISS, now they give 10 ISS at the end and a few through different phases if you stick around.

    On the flip side of it, there's no way I can see for them to actively combat players doing that. Why would they say everyone has to collect the splinters during the fire invasion to shoot down Scerrion? What if a player cannot make it to a rift in time, or they're being turned in too quickly? There are simply too many variables in the way people play the game to lock it down further, and locking it down would only irritate players.
