"Parcels" quest likely just cost you 2 subs

I found that quest annoying, and that was before it was patched to make it easier, but seriously, get over yourself. If you are quitting over a quest there is something wrong with you, not the game.

There is a reason why its an EPIC quest line.

If one quest is making you and your wife quit, then I do not think this genre is for you. Any time I run into something I do not like in an MMO, I just chose not to do it. There are enough other things to do in game to pass the time.

I was one of the first in my guild to get to the parcels quest, and I'm still on it. I've helped many do the whole chain, but after numerous invasions, I'm still 1 stinkin damaged transmitter short. I'm not here whining about my RNG frustration or threatening to end my sub because of it. It's going permanent, so you have a long time to finish it.

idk if you're familiar with MMO's favorite frustration, RNG, but most other MMOs wouldn't have made it permanent, wouldn't have made the event mounts so easy to get, and wouldn't have adjusted event dates based on the playerbase.

I am extremely upset at this quest design. Enough so that my wife and I are strongly considering terminating our subscriptions.

We have spent upwards of 20 hours waiting for fire/earth invasions, sometimes 2-3 hours at a time and still lacking items to complete this quest. We have participated in more than ample invasions that by now we should have long since gotten all of the items. Yet because it is RNG my wife has still not completed, while I completed it days ago. Spending our entire night playing with nothing to show for it feels like a waste of time to her, and I agree.

It has taken months of persuasion to get her to play. She liked the game a lot before we started this quest line, now she doesn't even want to log on. If we can not enjoy playing a game because the developers have made the game impossible to play, we will be just as happy/willing to pay/play another game.

It does not. It is infact a epic "saga" quest line and will remain after the event ends.

Honestly, I'm with you.

After 2 days I'm still missing the same quest drop, but it is apparently not broken. I've reported it every time (I've done my part in doing the event, you can do yours Trion).

This entire quest line have been broken! For those of us who have done it from the start we've had:

Orders not doping from the SS desert
Orders ONLY dropping from the SS desert *IF* it was a natural major rift, or from EI under the same.
The mobs needed in the 2nd quest only showing up when you were within mele range
The boss in stage 3 going into walls
Gap in the Armor bosses having wildly different levels (this may not be a bug, but it was rather odd to be able to solo one and then need 3 people for another)
Parcels drop rates being bugged to the point where you didn't get your items half the time, and then that some of these items don't drop (despite doing exactly what the quest says) because they wanted to make one item more rare than the others.

The last part at least looks bug free. It took over a month t fix these bugs. Why not just take the quest line out? Truly sad part is they put the quest on the PTS, and the bugs were reported before it went live...and no one did a damn thing.

Next time give us no quest rather than a buggy one. You'll save a lot of money that way.

How many times have I seen similar statements by now? Why bother to put stuff on PTS if you're not going to fix known, reported bugs before sending content live?
