Separate Zone Event Announcements from Chat Channels

Please separate zone event announcements from chat channels. Specifically the higher level zone events appear in 50 chat. So if you want to see them you must keep that channel on. 50 chat is a very active channel, at least on my server, so it's a lot of spam to sit through to get the messages. Also 50 chat, llike many open channels, tends to be a playground for the vulgar and argumentative, I choose not to participate, but yet I must sit through that if I want to see the zone event announcements.

If there is currently a way to get the zone event announcements without being in 50 or Ember Isle chat please let me know.

i seriously just turn off 50 chat... to many kids and ditsy wow transfers talking in normal chats so i turn them off.

I am all for this. The zone event announcements are probably the only reason most people subject themselves to the open chat channels. The chat channels ought to be for chat, and a zone event channel for zone events. It seems reasonable to me.
