Default Is this worth it or not?

I recently began saving all my planarite to buy the quantum site power. I need about 8,000 or so more to get it. I also began artifact hunting and launch but quickly gave up because they artifacts seemed to just dry up. I have read that if you have the quantum sight power you can see artifacts again that you normally would not see. I am mainly going for this so that I do not have to spend the 125p on a lvl 50 mount. Will this power aid me in getting the 100 completed sets for the white turtle or am I just wasting time and planarite that could be used for something else?

What i want to tell you is not to buy it so that you have to keep buying artifacts from me. But you should really get it. In the end you're going to be wasting planarite and running around with nothing to spend it on but augs anyway.

I have talked to others who have gone the buy the artifacts route and ended up spending more for those than if they had just bought the 125p mount which is kind of what I am trying to avoid. The thing is the character I am on is in the late 30's so I am looking to have this by the time I hit 50. On my other characters at 50 I had so much money at the end but hardly any artifacts collect I did not really get as many as I did on the lowbie character. Unfortunely these characters are on different shards so transfering money is not really possible.

It's definitely worth buying, you will literally find two to three times the amount of artifacts you normally would, and they sell really well since not everyone buys that ability. The artifacts appear as red instead of the normal white, and are much easier to see. Plus, you get to see some funny or unique things like NPCs, machines you can't otherwise see. If your goal is the white mount you'll really want this ability.

I can tell you, when I bought it I made about 100 platinum in less than 48 hours (so getting that lvl 50 mount isn't much work anyway). The trick is to put your artifacts on the AH mid week. Reason being, over the weekend everyone is out farming and selling stuff so they are constantly undercutting each other. But come Tuesday or Wednesday those stocks are all gone, and you can then list your items for their average price. Someone will ALWAYS be buying artifacts, no matter how common they are to find.

Besides, it seems like you're using a lot of planarite at once, but if you spend an hour or two doing some IA's you'll be making thousands upon thousands of it back. IMO this ability pays for itself after a day or two. Artifacts can sell for 20, 50, 100 platinum a pop so after a point you get more plat than you can even spend.

The money you would make by selling the artifacts you find is worth way more than saving the 125p to buy a mount and going for the White Tartagon. If you really want that mount you're going to have to save all the artifacts for yourself and go straight for it. But imo the money you can make just by selling the artifacts will get you enough plat to buy a mount and some leftover.

    This

You can easily sell blues/greens for 60/50p on some servers (last 3 I've been on have been like this)

There was a really nice video for a Freemarch/Stonefield route that I, for some reason, can't seem to find at the moment...

Scout the mountains between Silverwood and Moonshade, follow all the way around between Gloam and Silverwood, then cross over to between Gloam and Scarlet, follow that north to the towers in Gloam.

Can make some ridiculously easy plat
Doesn't matter what is put here, someone is going to @#%^& about it, regardless of what it is.

Another reason I want to get the artifacts is because I am kind of an achievement ***** so to speak. The artifact achievements are the main ones I am missing for zones, as well is those never seen rare spawns that are supposed to exist. I will definatelly go for this and sell the extras.

Buying that for 100 sets to get the mount is just a bad decision. If nothing else, just think... you're going to be running around (I'll bet you 110pp) ALOT collecting artifacts. And without a mount, that just plainly sucks.

And to actually get 100 sets completed by yourself (or friends) without AH is possible but it's sure not quick. I'm assuming since you don't want to spend 110pp on the mount, you probably not in the best shape to buy many of the AH artifacts. So I say, just suck it up and get the sight and your mount. There's very little to spend planerite on later on and it overflows with ease at 50. An hour in a busy onslaught will get you several thousand planerite easy.
