    Default Disappointed with quests

I know the game is just starting out but after doing most of Stonefield I feel that Trion put very very little effort into their quests. I literally had 3 "Kill X Trolls" quests in a row. the quests are grindy and not fun. I know that WoW was the same way when it started but MMOs don't have to regress. I figure I will just get flamed for saying this but I am very disappointed in the quality of the quests in RIFT. For what its worth I request that you put a little more effort in making the game enjoyable for casual, non raiders.

I'm not a fan either. I love questing, but Rift always gave me the cookie cutter feeling...still does, in just about every aspect of the game.

Yeah it is lame. Many quests in Rift barely mask the grind. Most send you to the same place three or more times killing the same mobs with the only difference being you only get credit for one specific type each time.

But that is fairly consistent with quests in most MMOs these days. Rift's world is very small compared to something like WoW, so it does tend to reuse small groups of mobs for multiple quests more than an MMO with a larger world.

The flip side is there are rifts and invasions that you can do to break up some of the monotony, as well as the instanced PVP warfronts and PVE dungeons.

Edit: And my pet peeve....The number of items I have to carry and use for quests that are constantly filling my bags, not to mention are a pain to find with no bag sorting. And no, having me carry some item while still killing X number of Y mobs doesn't make it fun, interesting, or particularly creative.

I gues just tying more quests into a story arch would be nice. I just dont have any desire to do the same thing for long periods of time to get to max level. All I do nowadays is run around looking for artifacts and doing the ocassional rifs for gold shells to get more artifacts. I dont see Trion responding to many feedback threads so there is no point in going on...

    Replacing monotony with monotony.
