Quest "forge the Titanbane" Need help

Hi all, I am stuck on this quest.
I have completed "Quarrying the quarry" "Fatal distraction" & "Stealing glory.
I then understand that you go to Meridan and forge the weapon with the help of
Sylver Valis.
I have located Sylver Valis but there is nothing he has or can do to finish the quest or
am I missing something here.
Can someone please help me with this or is there a quest help area etc.

Sylver you have to talk to and click on the dialogue option in the window. He'll ask you to go to a forge (any of the crafting forges will do) and create the material for him.

That giant globe that Sylver is standing next to, you can actually click on it just underneath the "glass" part. If I remember correctly, then you talk to him again then you get to fight critters right there in the same room after placing a item on the ground.

The first thing is to get the energized ore I think which requires touching the machine by him (small, easily overlooked glowing spot on it). Then it's off to stand near the forge and use the quest item (but don't use the forge).

Thanks all above but I still am stuck.
There is no dialogue etc & no glowing spot.
I must have missed something but I have done 3 of the quests
as I have have said above.
Do i have to get something and then go to sylver.
Maybe i am brain dead but the quest does not explain very well

After you talk to Sylver Valis you have to goto a forge - then click the ore in your inventory to forge it
Then go back to Sylver Valis and right next to him his a big glass ball thing, on the front is a glowie button than changes your forged ore to energized ore.
Then talk to Sylver Valis again
next you have to place the energized ore about 20' from him and defend it
next talk to Sylver Valis you will tell you to go all the way back to Stonefield
