Gearscore - At least to see how you gear is and how much an item may improve it.


Things not needed

Quest location addons like Carbonite and Quest Helper. 99% of quest and mobs are easily found. With the exception being a few named ones like Durnes.

Gearscore for others to see someones gearscore, or at least for the GS addon to no broadcast your stats.

Gearscore, counter intuitively didn't get people to make informed improvements. They made "improvements" numerically according to a mindless mod.
Example. I tried to pug a raid. I had more than the necessary dps, but still had a blue AP trinket. I got told no b/c my GS was too low. I equipped a purple hit trinket that put me waaaaay over the cap and was accepted.
This kind of mindlessness was rampant w/ GS. IMHO, it does m ore harm than good. People sought a number instead of educating themselves on their class and seeking gear based on stat priority.

Priorities (in this order):
Auctionator/Auctioneer: batch auction posting to split my stacks easily, search AH for vendor/disenchant profits, scan... 'nuff said, scan data shown in tooltips of items, show all auctions of an item grouped by price, auto-undercut on selection by preset amount like 1silver, ability for mass auction cancel when scan finds I was undercut, and option to save shopping lists.

One bag for both inventory and bank (liked Bagnon the best): any of them will do, as long as I can resize and the window is stylish.


Conveniences:
InlineAura: the one that highlights debuffs on the target in my action bars with countdown timers in the button and makes the out-of-range/out-of-mana indicator on my bars more prominent.

Tidyplates: see everything's health plate within a certain range and show their aggro toward me too. I'm a tank; it's what I do.

G T F O (no spaces is naughty?): alert with a sound when I'm standing in bad and should get the f*** out... that's what it stands for and it did the job better than DeadyBossMods.

Pallypower/Powerauras: for any class with alot of buffs and a chime to alert when my buffs ware off or when I have full combo/attack points, charge, or low mana.

Postal: open ALL my mail in an automated fashion and put all the good stuff in my bags, messages with text not deleted but auction house messages deleted automatically after stuff is stashed. Also, a timer to tell me when the mailbox refreshes.

Friendshare: I get tired of manually syncing my friend lists among alts... don't you?


AVOID!:
Gearscore: addons like this just dumb-down the game. DO NOT BRING THIS ONE BACK! Just DON'T!

DeadlyBossMods: again, dumbs the game down by adding a sort of "precognition" to some bosses. I enjoy learning from my own mistakes and researching strats more than listening to some canned voice over yell, "RUN AWAY, LITTLE GIRL!... Run away! Mwahaha!". Besides, that's just desensitizing.

Healbot/Vuhdo/Clique: sure, click-casting looks great on paper... but really it only attracts people to the healing role that should not be healing. I tried healing... didn't work out well without an addon; I don't belong in that role. I want my healers to be smart and never use a crutch like these addons.

Recount: again, dumbs it all down. Gives noobs a bad idea of skill level. So on and so forth.


Not much else I can think of... Rift's unit frames and other UI elements are pretty solid. Some ability to reskin would be nice tho.

Hell, I might even try my hand at making addons this time around.

I am forced to play in windowed mode atm to see numbers in realtime, else I need to tab out everytime.

I would like to see a UI something like the following that has Action Bars built into it that allows for healers to put healing spells below the group member that when clicked targets and casts on the group/raid member. I put up a basic design of what I'm talking about:

I think this would be a great UI asset.

It looks like healium, but even more efficient. I would love that one, since I have a handicap that makes it difficult to remember the right clicks for the right spells. If i have visual support by seeing icons things are much easier.

Maybe highlight if an ability can remove a negative effect as well.

"Current raid frames" hide health bars behind absolutely irrelevant debuffs and do not show buffs and debuffs about which I need to know. My puri/sent does not need to know which players have LFD tool on cooldown or cannot benefit from Static Discharge, rhythmic actions et cetera. What she does need to know, is which players have her shields and HoTs, "cannot benefit from" debuffs of her own spells, and which have the debuffs she can remove - and without hiding 2/3rds of health bar height behind those icons! And don't even get me started on that one time when I tried to play as warden.

Are you kidding?
It has NOTHING to do with lazyness.
When you are a healer whose game consists of a green bar, healing addons are your best friend.
Specifically, the one main thing I used grid for was to show me when a player had debuffs that only I could dispel, but in a way that didn't take up half the screen. I needed to know who had which of my spells without having to target everyone and at the same time have it condensed within a few inches on my screen.

If you found that your healers were letting you die regardless of your addon, I'd blame the healer and not the addon.

On that note.. besides Clique, the only other mod I'd really love to see is a combo of Grid/GridManaBars/GridIndicatorCornerPlus.

I'm quite literally not playing right now because I'm a healer who can't heal because I can't see the default frames well enough. I'm going to come back to the game as soon as there's an addon implemented that I can customize to actually make the game playable as a Warden.
