Darkside is a community of mature and mostly veteran gamers. We are dedicated to a friendly, team focused, fun-loving and well-organized gaming environment where every member is important and not just a number on a roster. We seek to foster long term friendships among members around the globe and enhance the online gaming experience by virtue of those friendships. Though we enjoy the social aspects of gaming a lot and take our time to level and enjoy the content, when it comes down to it we also are very much end-game minded and like to win while having a blast with friends. Darkside was formed in other games and started Rift in beta.

Darkside is recruiting all classes & levels. We are an international guild for adults & looking for mature, social, friendly & active players, both (new) gamers that are still levelling and players that are ready for experts and raids. We currently have 100+ members on the roster, their ages differ from 18 up to 65. The majority of them is online daily. Our members come from different countries in Europe and also from the USA, New Zealand, Australia and other parts of the world.

Raiding
Darkside started raiding in January 2012 and uses an EPGP system for dkp. Our raid schedule can be found on our website, and is made every quarter, depending on the availability of our members. We always offer 1 morning raid, 1 afternoon raid and 1 evening raid, to suit the needs of all our international members. Members don’t need to raid nor are forced to make a certain amount of raids per week.

Events
Apart from our raids, we also have weekly scheduled runs for Crafting and PvP rifts. Parties for T1, T2, Master dungeon runs and expert rifts are made in game and there is always going on something in the guild.

Social
Darkside is also really into the social aspect of gaming. We use both Ventrilo and guild chat to talk and a lot of us also connect through Facebook, mobile phone, e-mail, apps and even in real life.

PvP
We have a lot of members that enjoy the warfronts and PvP, and especially in the weekends you will see a lot of activity going on in this area of the game.

Kids
Members of Darkside that have children that play Rift as well, are allowed to bring them into the guild, as long as they are being supervised by their parent(s). Darkside kids are excluded from most Vent channels, so adults can speak freely. Parents are responsible for the behaviour of their kids, and also should take in account if it is ok for them to be in a chat environment of adults. If not, they can choose to uncheck guild chat for their children.

Ranking
Ranking in Darkside is mostly based on your progress not on how long you have been a member of the guild. Officers and elders are appointed by leadership based on need to fill a certain role in the guild (officers) or trust and length of their membership (elders).

Guildbank & contribution
We currently have 2 vaults. The first vault is open for all members and contains buffs, bags, planar essences, runes and arti’s for all to put in or take out. The second vault only can be accessed by certain ranks and contains raid items and gear. We are working together to get more bank vaults and also are trying to save gold for further guild expansions that might be added to the game in a later stage. Therefore we require a weekly contribution in gold of all members to the guild bank. The amounts are scaled per level and come down to doing a couple of quests or dailies per week

Guild portal
Our website is the heart of our guild. Here our members share information in both the forum and wiki, and sign up for raids and events. We keep track of our perks, milestones, loot, dkp and other fun stuff. All our guild administration is done through our website, and therefore it is mandatory for all our members to register with it and add their characters to their account.

Recruiting
Darkside is recruiting all levels and all classes that meet the following requirements:

1. Preferably 21+ years or older. Must be mature and at least 18.
2. Character names must not be offensive and preferably fantasy-based.
3. Must be a fairly active player. Players that log-on once a week are just not cut out to be part of Darkside.
4. We are a multicultural group and as such will not tolerate any ethnic or racial comments or jokes.
5. Must install Ventrilo voice chat (free download) to use during runs and raids and at least be able to listen in during group activities. Preferable you also are able to talk in Vent as we use it as our main communication channel and prefer it over guild chat. Raiders need to be able to both talk and listen.
