And yes, I admit, I dont want to be part of anyone super powered (I mean above the already powerful Ascended) / monster (another excuse for more super powers) story. I fail to see any interest in that as a player since usually (at least as far as I have seen them) those stories doesnt involve a character background or persona but only their powers themselves.
Alright, let me make it clear that what i seek to gain from all this, is to stir up some action in these parts. Too often, i find people simply talking small-talk, and nothing seems to be happening. Also, i wish to gain RP, and lots of it. We all know, that the shard (Or the entire game?) is suffering from SW:TOR, Skyrim, and whatever we can think of.

As for it being "cool" or not, is surely a matter of taste, is it not?

And as for the powers of vampirism, i would be just as happy without them. They are but a perk, and not a necessary one.

    Default Form Of The Howler

I play my character as being a werewolf. She got it from the Hag during a rescue mission of her companion (minature werewolf aka Fluffy). She does have to fight againts it and does not venture into Gloamwood during the Full Moon or she completely looses herself to it.

I keep the whole thing a secret that only a handful of friends know about due to an issue with 'spiked' soup... never eat at the Kings Rear. Even so she is trying to find the cure that was used before the Hag was killed but the Doctor who made it is dead and left no notes behind... Every day it gets harder to control and so she has distanced herself from those that might get hurt if she ever does turn for good.

To represent this I use Form of the Howler from the Gloamwood Achievements (not sure if Defiants get the same one). Its a bit silly at the moment as its 10min use, 30 min CD and breaks if you or anyone uses anything on you (like a buff).

See that type of rp of lycanthropy I don't mind in the slightest. Some may say it's a little bit in the grey area of lore but from how you describe how you're approaching the topic it all fits in nice, isn't in everyone's face and you have accepted the fact you can lose your charcter ic over it.
In all honesty it sounds like a lot of fun and I hope you find that it is as much fun as it seems!

Think really the issue is when people rp they are a werewolf/vampire and don't accept the consequences that would happen in game reality if it got out/ overcame them.
