* Salvage materials no longer need to be combined into Salvaged, Reclaimed, Processed, or Refined materials.
- All recipes that require Salvaged Materials now use the base material.
- If you have combined Salvage items in your bank or bags, you will be able to convert these back to their component parts.
So, I don't see where if you have 1000 refined bars like me, you can make whetstones or oilstones with these. You can only make the metal widgets and the processed make heavy metal. I seem to only be able to make augments with these and crappy ones at that.
Is there a way to turn these back into the base metal. Otherwise my 1000 plus stock will be worthless.
I would like a dev to reply to this as I have thousands of refined and processed bars that I will have no way to use if this changes without a fall back option to use them for their original purposes.
I dont want to be stuck with thousands of worthless bars when this goes live. Give me an option to make the bars back into the base metal or something. I dont see any options on PTS.
#21 The Salvaged, Reclaimed, Processed and Refined items previously gained from combining Salvaged materials only break down into their original parts. There is no plan to allow for a conversion from Salvaged materials into normal Crafting materials.
You will no longer be able to use these materials to craft Enhancements such as Whetstones. All Enhancements now require normal Crafting materials.
Salvaged materials are now used exclusively in the new (and existing) Augment recipes. In this case, your Heavy Metal Chunks can make the Median tier of Augments and your Metal Widgets can make the Major tier of Augments (level 50 rare) for both Armorsmith and Weaponsmith.
If you feel that the Salvaged materials you have now would be more valuable to convert into Enhancements rather than Augments, you still have some time to do so before the patch goes Live.

Since it seems you guys read this thread...
Any plans to make herbs/bones/wood/gems stack to 99 like ore, cloth and leather do? When mining, ores nicely stack up to 99 right now while when you pick up herbs they stack to 50 only.
Logs stack to 50 only, you have to make them into lumber to have them stack to 99; but, since ore stacks to 99 just like bars do, it'd be really really nice to have every crafting mat stack to 99 like metals do. Pretty please? ^^
I think everything should just stack to a max of 999. Seriously, we have such a horrible lack of bank space, this will definitely help. I see no reason why this should not be implemented.
As far as I am aware, Trion only mentioned bigger bags for 2.0, but no mention of a bank overhaul. Bigger bags alone is not enough - not even close. Hopefully they keep the bank space in mind as well.

#24 All crafting materials should stack to 99 in Storm Legion. I don't think that change made it into the 1.11 build or onto PTS, however.
Can we make it go the other way too please - trade in the 100k, 50k, 10k crystals for artisan marks?
Couldn't you instead let the stacks go to 100? It's a round nice figure and better to work off when splitting it into lesser amounts.
Might just be the asperger syndrome talking but i've had issues with the fish stacking to 99 for a while now.
And i'm sure i am in the extreme minority here but had to at least mention it.
The reason they can easily increase it to 99 and not 100 is because of the database field size. There is no difference in the amount of storage on a database that storing a value of 10-99 (due to everything being stored as 2 digits. If they were going to increase the max stack instead to 100 that would mean they would have to be able to store up to 3 digits for that value of 100. If they were going to raise the stack size up to 100, then there would be no difference in database storage being used going all the way from 100-999 since it is all 3 digits that would be stored.
I realize that storage of a single additional digit in the field size may not sound like much, but when multiplied by the possible 200+ stacks of any one character, multiplied by up to 6 characters on any one server, multiplied by the MILLIONS of users.... every additional digit stored really does add up to allot of more hard drive storage being used.

#29 It looks like the Dusty Treasure Hunter's Satchel recipe only exists in data and is not and never was available. It should not have been in the patch notes. Sorry for the confusion. It is also unlikely to be added; partly because the bag itself is a unique world event reward and we would like to preserve the value of those items and partly because new (and larger) bag recipes will be available in Storm Legion.
The Dusty Treasure Hunter's Satchel is a unique bag reward from the Ashes of History event. It remains unchanged.
