Rift Storm nerfed ~60% on PTS

I have a transferred character from live with everything trained (even double checked the trainer in case it had untrained for some reason) and Rift Storm definitely does less damage, not just in the tooltip but in the actual damage dealt. If this wasn't intended then someone really screwed the pooch somewhere along the line in the PTS patch.

Yep, we verified that something is wrong and are trying to find out what went wrong where.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of moving parts in an MMO.

Hi,

No changes should have been made to Rift Storm on PTS that are different than Live. No one has requested this to be done internally. Were not looking at nerfing it by 60% and never have looked at nerfing it by 60%.

I will have Atrius look at this.

Original poster - are you sure that your character on PTS is fully trained with max ranks of the ability?

i would think so... considering his PTS character is the copy of his live character... unless it is the copy of when his character first hit level 50... i doubt that is the problem. Perhaps an engineer accidentally made this change that just happens to coincide to a hot topic right now? lol *shrug*

Ah yes, I was using an old copy of my toon on PTS when I tested, who had been copied over before Icy Burst existed. Copying a new one over today for the Conquest playtest. Was Icy Burst the culprit here?

P.S. Thanks for confirming it is a bug. It was pretty disheartening at first to think forum commentary may have caused such a drastic nerf.
