Default X-Post from Warrior Forums -- Mighty Blow & other abilities still missing on PTS.

The original post was a while ago (1-10-12). I noticed Mighty Blow missing ALOT. So I tested it. Got some video, blah blah blah. Atrius posted that it was being looked into ect. Here we are on the brink of 1.8 (still no reply as to if it is being looked into other than "oh hey, we know its happening, kthxbai) and I can still replicate this issue, but with slightly more severity. Instead of the initial Mighty Blow test, I also noticed that Cornered Beast and Bladefury are missing. It was bad enough that one vital rotation ability was missing, now 1 AE rotation and 2 finishers? This needs to be fixed.

    Hey Kaandy,

Can you please try to repro this on a target that does not have destructible states. The object being attacked in the video has destructable states - it is not actually an NPC. There are some odd interactions between this type of object and AOE attacks of all types (odd being: AoEs typically do not work on them period).

I've seen this happen for a while now, what's weird is it works on some of those objects but not on others.

For the nests like in the video, I think aoe attacks work just fine on them except for 1 in particular which we saw. The same thing happens in Darkening Deep with the spider nests, the first 2 can be attacked wiith aoes just fine while they always miss on the last one.

It's not only destructible targets, Daglar. You can see in parses, including my own, extra rising waterfalls and missing mighty blows.

Completely stand still Sicaron with no boxes, and 4 MBs miss. That was a good one. I've had worse misses.

don't have a parse like the above post, but would like to add that this is observable on the first phase of akylios fight, as well as the lashers in later phases. not exclusive to destructible targets at all.

It also happens on the Boss Practice Dummy (and probably on other dummies as well).

And no, it's not a parsing/addon/ACT issue or anything like that. When this happens the Mightly Blow combat event line is physically missing in the combatlog. Now as far as I can tell, the use of the ability still counts and generates an attack point and enables the followups, it's just that it does no damage and doesn't generate a combatlog event, not in the combatlog not through the addon API (which I assume are linked anyway). It also doesn't display as a combat message on the screen, as you can see in the video.
