New Essences?

Has anything about new essences been released on the PTS? Should I save my sourcestone?

At the very least, I'd hope to see some Earth-based rogue tanking essences. At present there are NONE and a rogue wanting a tanking essence for GP is going to be getting block and/or WIS in his eesences to get the resists.

Not really. GP is really easy, I'm not gonna bother making yet another resist focus for a tier 1 10-man raid.

Both these statements are true to a certain degree.

To be fair, you don't -need- a resist engine for GP, or for any other raid for that matter. But having it does help reduce the damage you take significantly, so it is better than not having them.

I recall a video interview with Devs (Pax maybe?) where they stated something along the lines of 1.6 bringing the second tier of Raid Rifts with new essences.
Also GP barely needs a tank anymore, Boulder of Destruction can be easily healed through.

Everyone has a different playing style. Everyone have different ways to overcome certain obstacles. Your statement is void because not all of us tanks are the same.

You CAN also play if you keyboard turn and click abilities, you're just not going to be as efficient.
