I was talking about current R5 weapons only, and since you're not a developer your answer (or rather guess) is kinda pointless given that you don't know how Trion is going to handle it.
No one knows if they will upgrade the weapon to R6 or just rename it and downgrade it to R4 (given their track record though, I lean towards a slight suspicion how it's going to be turning out).

That's why I want a developer to answer the question, if by some miracle one happens to come by and grace the unwashed masses with their presence... .
Relax dude, DTM300 asked a question about all rank5-6 gear and i answered it, and I clearly stated I couldnt be positive of course that our current weapons are being downgraded and renamed instead of upgraded to the new r6 stats but only that the wording of the patch notes made it sound pretty clearly like this is what is more than likely going to happen.
