I can not recover my thing onto the PTS it says "error 1012" help?
Downloaded for 3 hours. Can't for the life of me figure out how to run it now. Any suggestions?
Just downloaded the client again. Made a new folder, installed as administrator. Ran selfpatchalpha as administrator. Error #2016 every time. Uninstalled, tried again, nothing. Ran Live, logged in fine. Not an ISP or router issue. What's wrong?
Can anyone confirm if the level/gear vendors have been spawned? I logged in yesterday and only fluffy was spawned (transfer from start zone to Meridian).
I understand the whole not having them set to auto start, but don't they want us testing all the 1.5 stuff?

You log into the game on the shard you play on, not the test server. Then select "transfer" character, and at the bottom it will say "Copy to PTS"
You select copy, and it will make a copy of that character so you can use it on the test server. You will see a message about leaving your guild, but all that means is your guild does not exist on the test server, so you copied character will not be in a guil, your original character will be unchanged.
So i log in and click update....about 30sec later i get an error message that reads, Error communicating with the patching process. (Error #1026) Anybody know what would be wrong with this?
can the PTS cilent be installed on a 2nd HDD in my computer? sence my first HDD is a SSD with 5gb left and rift is install on my SSD

Id like to know this also, yes i have my 2 50s copied over but would like my 3rd char (not 50 yet) to be able to test as well...any info would be great...also since this is my first non 50 there if you could let me know where abouts they are located when they are spawned.

Ok, so I found the file and everything fine..but after I click play and the RIFT screen comes up it automatically closes and gives me an error. It doesn't even state which error it is or what the problem is. All it says is to send an error report, and I did multiple times. Still didn't work. Its copied into my Rift folder as well. I really need some help, any suggestions?

Yes, recovery didn't work. I just ended up reinstalling the whole PTS client. I can get on it now but I don't see any gear vendors near the port in Sanctum.![]()
