Which Race Will You Choose?

So the various race choices have been released, and there are quite a few images and screenshots floating around out there -- which do you want to be your main character?

I' m looking at tanking with a Bahmi. 2% reduced damage and a TPS cooldown for the beginning of fights.

Wow, I'm glad I did a double take. Seeing High Elves at such a high ratio was a real let down until I saw 1,1,1... 3.

To be extremely honest. One of each if it will be allowed. I'm a huge alt player and I like to make one of every race and class in my MMORPGs. The good MMORPGs make it so each variation feels like I'm seeing the game from a different angle, with different starting areas, racials, abilities, quests, story(in some games) etc.

I hope Rift is going to offer something like this and not be like a game that does this aspect wrong --->AoC. One starting area for everyone? Not good for alts. One basic race(human)with just names and some facial features being different? Not good for alts.

Anyway, I digress. I picked High Elves for now. I am a fan of elves in any game and setting. Mathosian sounds and looks interesting, so that will be my second character.

I have always been a fan of Elves. So either High Elf or Kelari, depending on which faction is chosen.

I am fond of playing the human races of fantasy RPGs as they tend to stick out amoung the other races. Hah. Also, the Mathosian lore of honor and duty also appeal to me.
