NEW POLL: How did you hear about Rift Planes of Telara?

Was hunting around for a new mmorpg, and Heroes of Telara was in some list somewhere or other as "in production", so thought I'd take a look....got led to Telara Central where I lurked for ages to keep an eye on stuff, meanwhile trying the same two that Tinker did, one had great promise actually and I really enjoyed playing it till they brought in an arrogant, pompous, rude CEO who told us all to stop playing if we didn't like anything. So I did

Voted other, heard about during E3 1 years back when it was still HoT, at the time I considered it as a upgrade over Vanguard. And well now I am gameless but it's still a huge upgrade

I heard about Heroes of Telara at E3 in 2009 and have been off and on following it through Telara Central since then. I am so glad there is more news coming out now as it was kind of discouraging while things were so quiet in the fall of 2009/spring of 2010.

I was looking for a new MMO to play and randomly (and luckily) came across RIFT. found some game play and E3 stuff on youtube, and bam!...it was decided...that i would eagerly await this game!

Well my story on how I found this game is pretty funny actually. I was googling this guy called Jon Van Caneghem who was one of the creator of my favorite game, Might and Magic 6.
I found an article saying that he had joined a new company called Trion world Network. And when I visted their site I read about an upcoming MMORPG which at that time didnt have a name.
But I bookmarked the page and regulary visted it incase they added new info. And suddenly one day they annouced that the game was going to be called Heroes of Telara and that it gotten its own page.
Not long after that I joined them on Facebook. Been following the game's progress since then.

Raive mentioned it to me on MSN a long time ago. I've been peeking at the progress of not just Rift, but of Trion Worlds.

I'm as excited about Trion Worlds as I am about Rift. I want them to take their quality-minded approach and dominate the industry.

Other companies with multiple games need to stop resting on the illusion that more games means better service and more entertainment. If most of their games are either extremely shallow, or poorly managed/updated, then the appeal of a multi-game subscription becomes nothing more than a green stain around your finger where that "goldtone" wore off.

I was checking out MMORPG.com and came across RIFT and was intrigued by it. From there I was hooked and started following all coverage I could find on the game. It helps that this is a great community and people have been very friendly and the discussions have been great. As well, the constant interaction by jives, abi et al; makes me feel like the team not only cares about the community, but is a part of it!
