NEW POLL: How did you hear about Rift Planes of Telara?

I was just brousing WoWhead, and came across this one add of some sort. 'Rift, free trial" I thought. "Meh. I'm not in a hurry." I gave my friend a mention about it, and she tried it shortly after. I don't know where she found her link, but whatever.

Later she sent me "ascend a friend", and it went from there. The collector's edition just happened to be on sale, and almost everyone else just happened to get the same freaking mount.

I seen it on Steam, never heard of it until a few days before launch. Bought it on a whim.

Heard on steam. Played beta but wasn't too fond. Tried again with friends playing too and found a class I really liked.

I found out about Rift from watching Gamerbreaker.tv on the show This Week in MMO.

They kept bring up the game then stared a show called the Sanctum and I got sucked in little by little.

kept seeing the ads on ZAM and saw others talking about it while playing EQ so when Sony got hacked back in May, I decided to give Rift a try

well after being completely shafted by cataclysm i was looking for another time sink for when im not at school or studying and i had then recently watched a hyper wtf is Rift video produced by total biscuit. i gave the free trial a go had a 2 hour fire invasion before i logged off that night and have been playing since.

Was playing wow at the time when a friend of mine was saying he was playing the beta to a cool game so i looked at some videos of it and just had to try it.

Yet, Trion close threads in their off topic forum unless it's about Rift.

I was introduced by my brother who played the beta, He usually introduces me to newer MMO's though i think this might be the one i stick with so far.

First time I heard about this game was actually through YouTube. I was searching on the website's engine for mmorpg's and Rift came up several times. Checkin' out the gameplay vidcaps and some of the First impressions game testers running the beta (i.e. TGN, etc), the video gameplays got me hooked. Now I'm on this game and rockin' it! I Love Rift!

I was told about the pre-release beta event from a friend, tired of the hum-drum WoW daily grind, I was looking for something new, tried Aion, DDO, RoM, AoC, and even restarted a 10 year old EQ account. I was invited to try the beta for Rift.

I had checked out all the Youtube screeners and instantly got excited. Long story short, I tried the beta and never looked back, been playing since day one and have no regrets... I vaguely remember a mmo called world of war-something, way back before I grew up and played Rift!

- Programmers, give yourselves a huge pat on the back, you hit a home run imo!

I had found it on steam a while back, but when i realized that it was a monthly subscription, i decided it wasn't worth it. then my dad started playing it and then i tried the free trial and got hooked so i started paying and i have loved it much! XD
