Extra Life 2012 – Help Kids, Earn Titles, Have Fun!

I can’t believe it’s been a year since thousands of you joined us for the first annual Extra Life event but the best part is – we get to do it all over again!

We’re hosting 24 hours of fun starting October 20th @ 8AM Pacific (3PM GMT) in support of Extra Life. Part of the Children’s Miracle Network, Extra Life is a charity focused on bringing gamers together from around the world to help sick kids by raising money for hospital bills and life-saving operations.

We won't have a designated EU shard, but this year players will be able to earn the titles playing on any shard - we will have one NA shard for those who wish to start a new character and play together for additional rewards.

EU players will simply need to patch to the NA shards and can login and play. We'll provide instructions and more details for everyone once we get closer to the date

I have my own personal goal of money to raise, and Trion has their goal. Does money that people donate to me add to Trion's goal if I'm partnered with them? Like say a friend gives me 24 dollars, does that go towards both my goal of $100 and Trion's goal of OVER NINE THOUSAND? Or just one?

Our team goal is the cumulative sum of all of the individual team member efforts. We encourage folks to join ours or make their own - either way the money goes to Extra Life!

We hope we exceed our goal before things kick off so we can bump it up even more as more people join in the fun

At that point Elrar we will be creeping ever closer to Storm Legion. Wouldn't it be cool to host a Storm Legion beta event weekend for Extra Life? (with no NDA, obviously if you guys aren't ready to lift the NDA then there isn't much point since extra life has become more or less a streaming event for people)

I think that would be a really cool way for you guys to get some interest in Storm Legion and at the same time make a ton of money for people who desperately need it.

Either way I joined your team a long time ago. I was originally planning to stream several different things (Rift on the Overcast channel, GW2, Quake, LoL, PoE and TL2 on my own) but if there is a SL beta I imagine I'll probably do that all 24 hours.
