I hope this don't mean monthly videos, but it is only because current convention GamesCom and later week will be PAX.I think Trion is working very hard polishing game for conventions.

... and they still have to finish patch 1.10... (I hope it will be next month)

I'm totally down with a December release, that gives people time to try out the various games and xpacs that are on the table over the next few months so hopefully Storm Legion will have much more impact than it would have if it launched next month or something

I hope storm legion pulls people away from WoWs panda exspansion, it should be realsed just far enough apart for people to get a look at kungfu panda and run to rift and get storm legion. That way subcriptions will go through the roof.

Seriously, you guys have made the best MMO out there (my opinion) and have been pushing a lot of amazing content and game changes constantly that can't be found from any developers out there, but from you guys!

Am hoping for a late October release personally (i know - unlikely) but I might have some holiday time then so would be nice to have a couple of days of expansion devoted annual leave...

I've been showing the Storm Legion E3 video around to friends of mine. None of them play Rift. They are now interested in it. The colossus fight was amazing. I've read through all of the messages in this thread. Despite all of the concerns about balancing in PVP and PVE, along with gear concerns, this expansion is likely to attract new subscribers to the fold. Having a lot of subscribers is a good thing, as it means the company stays solvent and continues to develop for the game. Which ultimately means, whatever concerns you all may have, there's still a company around to address them.

The reason why I came back? I finally bought a computer that supports the game on decent quality settings. That being said, stumbling across the expansion and watching what's coming is pretty awesome.

Just a quick recap:

1. You can probably expect Storm Legion to be out before Christmas. As long as it isn't around the same time as A Memory of Light's release.

2. There is 1 new soul for each class, there are no new races.

3. There seems to be a lot of "returning" players. Good for Trion. How long they gonna hang around this time?

4. Lots of new land to explore.

5. Guardians and Defiant aren't as hostile as they used to be.

6. New Level 60.

A Memory of Light is slated for Jan 2013. It got pushed back a ways.

Winter does not officially begin until 21st of December...give or take a day or two. Which means they have until then to release it and have it land in the fall of 2012. ;)

Will i recieve a disc copy of Storm Legion if i pre-order the infinity edition? Wanted to know because i like having the disc as proof of purchase and just to have a physical copy!

depends where you preorder it
you can both preorder digital and phsycal.
Trion = Digital, as is Steam(yeah duh, I know).
Walmart/Gamstop/Bestbuy should have both versions, so check it out
