Wow thx Trion for this amazing news! My entire guild is abuzz with it. It sounds so....incredible! How can you keep coming up with all these new ideas??? My mind would ment coming up with even ONE new thing and how to make it work...guess that's why you have so many wonderful people working for you. Thanks for all the hard work you've put into your game. I've enjoyed it for over a year now and I know I will still be here enjoying it long after SL comes out!

I hope Trion introduces more Omen Sight-type alternative realities in the open world. Really love all the stuff in Sanctum and wish there was a lot more elsewhere.

I decided to check in on my favorite MMO that I haven't played for about a year.
This expansion looks great. I think I'll be coming back for it.

Rift is so close to being perfect, but what it lacks I can't quite pinpoint.

We know there will be 4 new callings but, will there be a new race added? Does anyone know? I LOVE RIFT and I get in trouble for defending it on any forums including this one...I am trying to be more sensitive but, I get so angry when anyone says anything negative about the game I LOVE so much. Please have a new race for both defiant and Guardian ...pretty please Please like something like a goblin race for defiant and then a Faerie race for Guardian would work? NO? Yes? Maybe?

No there wont be a new race.
Has been said somewhere, cant give you a link atm or at all.

new playable race could be introduced on latter stage, but no in Xpack

Heck yes I'm excited! I can't wait. Hopefully there will be some kind of Collector's Edition too, that would be great. I love RIFT, glad to see that it's moving forward!

It's weird because I feel the same way.

I *think* what i'm missing with Rift is a sense of mystery and wonder... everything in the game is quite accessible and there's no true exploration into unknown areas (until the expansion and I expect i'll know all the areas within a couple of weeks). On top of that... I wish itemization was a little more loose. The possibility of added or lost stats randomly occuring on items you find would add a great deal of depth to the current state of the items in game.

True dynamic content is where it's at... whilst keeping the normal stuff there too

RIFT is missing something that I have enjoyed in almost every MMO I have played.....PVE shards do not have enough Waring among factions in the world. In other games regardless of if it was a PvP or PvE shard there was always a city raid going on of the opposite factions main city and even smaller ones.

Now the Map/World is also too small...like many have pointed out already. It has everything that an MMO could ever possibly want to be and I have been here since the first beta and I am not going anywhere but, they really need to CREATE a much much Larger world for us to explore. Races need to start in the home cities or worlds and make there way eventually to the main areas.

There is so much riding on this Expac that will make us the amazing game we already are or put us in the category of just "another one of those".....So far RIFT has been unique , exasperating and always FUN!!!!


ALL this being said...for a game that is not even 1.5 years out already RIFT ROCKS!!!!!!!

Would we be right to assume it's the Warrior, and will each of the Class Leads be present for the reveal interview to discuss design philosophies?

This scares me a lot Elrar. Not only would that mean the final reveal is in November for the final class. We would hopefully have beta and then everyone would know the class by the time you guys get around to the final reveal.
