    It’s been ONE WHOLE YEAR since RIFT was unleashed upon the world – it’s hard to imagine we’ve done as much as we have in only 365 days, but now it’s time to celebrate all we have accomplished together!

    The citizens of Telara are throwing you a massive party complete with midway games, fanciful balloons, massive bonuses, and two of the most epic mounts you’ll have ever feast your eyes on – Welcome to the Carnival of the Ascended!

    Starting today, February 29th, through the end of March you’re invited to join the celebration as we shower you in World Event rewards and subscriber bonuses all month long.

    So grab some glass beads, put on your most fanciful hats, and get ready to PARTY!

    It's off to a great start, Sanctum and Shimmersand are positively heaving with people doing the games, the balloon popping one even has "raid" groups doing it, chat is full of people all excited and enthusiastic...well done Devs

    A WHOLE YEAR where has all the time gone.

    Happy Birthday and grats for a great job on the game.
    PVE servers for PVE Players
    PVP Servers for PVP Players
    If you grief on a PVE server the DM should remove that player to a PVP server with the loss of all his/her gear just to give them a little grief.
    All you hear from PVPers is nerf this nerf that I got owned by my mum nerf her and carebears did this.

    So we going to get treats and temporary care bear items like we did with the Christmas celebration, besides the 2 mounts what is the possibility of getting good PvP gear which rivals current rank gear for 50+ and current level gear for the tier below that?

    Happy Birthday Rift! I've been here since open beta and still love the game.

    You have really outdone yourself with this world event. The Carnival is a blast, and a big hit from what I am seeing. It's apparent folks are having a good time. And I think it's brilliant, incorporating as a carnival game mechanic one of the things we all seem to love doing: jumping up and down. ;-) Love the games, especially the mini-horse race (it's sweet that everyone wins). And I haven't even been to Shimmersand yet!

    Releasing high grade pvp gear in a world event seems rather pointless, since world events have always been about vanity items and fun rewards, and not gearing you in a week without having to use the game systems already meant for that.

    So far the event looks like it'll have some fun things to obtain, also looking forward to reward weekends.
