RIFT Watch 19: RIFT 1.7 brings a big boost to Ascension

Wow so much garbage fit into one paragraph where do I begin.

1. "buffing lower ranked players so they (stand a chance)" Soo you're seriously saying that it's a bad thing to give a boost to very low rank players if the system matches them up with high rank players allowing them to not only be useful but to be able to hang in there if they out skill you?

2. "stats bumped up to be effective in warfronts" Again you are saying that this is a bad thing for players on your side to be effective at all if they get matched with you.. wow

3. " rifts pvp will fall harder than ever" Ever? what could you possibly know about "ever" in rift.. look at you're join date it's like last week ffs.

4. "Which of you high ranks want noobs to get bonuses" Every damn one of us that doesn't suck and that wants the game to be more balanced to attract new players with gear giving a slight advantage instead of a faceroll.

5. "havent worked as hard as us" This made me lol irl. First of all if you mean "grind" instead of "work" you have no idea how free your r8 was compared to getting r6 at launch. At launch you didn't have daily quests, afk (pvp) rifts, bonus weekends, extended double favor/prestige weeks, and two types of favor/prestige pots as if losing and still gaining rank wasn't enough. NOW if you actually meant the word "work" ffs you're paying money to play a game that you're supposed to enjoy playing and you're gona call it work?

7. "guess theres no need to get your high rank anymore." I guess you had better learn how to play your class because the idea that you might not be able to completely faceroll a lower rank has got you really damn worried. ROFL

I approve this msg....typical QQ from someone that needs to L2P. I think its a great idea.

SWTOR failed at it because the lvl 50's were so much more powerfull than the lower lvl players,it was a senseless faceroll whenever the majority of one team was lvl 50.....much like rift is now with rank 8's. SWTOR saw this was a problem and now RIFT has aswell....both are moving to fix it.

Personally I can't believe that Trion is spending development hours on adding weddings when the game needs SERIOUS work. For starters, the game engine needs a huge optimization to run better on high end machines. Secondly, the pvp community needs more than mercenaries, mage nerfs, and a better ranking system (more warfronts, contested zones).

Honestly, I hope they at least toss in a Fire resist SM/Sigil, that's sure to cause mass butthurt to all the folks who already farmed a core for RotP.

Sadly, this is the problem with all MMO's. If they have been out for awhile, new 50's are vastly undergeared compared to long time players. End game loot constantly has to become more and more rediculously powerful for Hardcore players to remain interested. Truly it is the major fault of having bind on pickup items. Good for the economy I guess, but causes huge disparities.

We have no economy in Rift anyways, may as well let folks PL their newer toons.

For one thing noob...been here since luanch quit and came back...so bout that sthu...Secondly Yes it is work...farming losses with undergeared noobs like you is a pain. Makes us wonder why we even pay for a game that becomes more frustrating trying to tell the same rogue with 4k health over and over to not steal the rune from a 10k health healer in Runemasters, ect. How can you even begin to justify getting a stat boost...its completely bs. We put in the time and effort and you sir did not. Basically making low geared people equal with the higher geared people makes it as if we arent even wearing that gear. So I ask you...if your going to have the same stats as a Rank 40 at rank 13...whats the point in progressing to rank 40 other than the weapons. There is none. We can only pray your lil buff you low geared people are getting is epic fail and not even worth the developers time..or yes most your rank 8s will quit...and anyone with half a brain willl quit...might as well get rid of ranks all together now cuss they are meaningless. Have fun with you laziness and handouts.

when the hell is 1.7 going live??? pvp as its now has killed my will to play completely. as an altoholic i have 6 50's and pve is boring is hell now as the leveling process is a joke. when is 1.7 going live??? pvp need to be fixed as of 10 1/2 months ago how much longer do we have to wait.

Well I dont think any serious r8 pvp-er will quit over some change. If you are good in PvP you still will be. Only the ones, that can kill someone now just becouse they get against r1 r2 and can actually kill em cos of uber gear, they got dieing all the way to r8, prolly will quit.
If you 'worked' so hard to get your gear, you should have lot more experience than r1 with even same gear.

Well 1st its not that bad, ppl need still favor to buy items and thats lot of warfronts too. And second I guess you missed part when they mentioned that instead of ranked gear there will be new three for ranks. So I'm guessing you still get your bonuses over r1 just in other way. And if the new tree will be 'just max out' for r8 then this patch is even more beneficial to r8, as r1 must farm favor to buy out best gear plus rank up, to max out new tree.
Only question would be, is new tree beneficial enough.

And if it works best for r1 then I dont think it's a bad thing. As most of r8 started rushing to that rank together so it was more balanced cos they were kind of all same rank range cos there wasnt not a single r8 when game came out. So why not give ppl bit boost now too as in reality r1 still face r8's in warfronts. Besides I think many r8's have 1 or more alt. chars to get from r1 to r8, so its helping everyone.

And why you so mad about it anyways. If you love so much PvP then you should be happy as you gonna get more r8's around you to provide nice decent fights. Or is that fear that makes you angry and quit.
