So good luck with the attitude and rudeness, you'll soon belong to a (shrinking) community of like people if that's the way you and others here behave in game as well, lol. Here I am simply passing time and vent my anger while I consider reopening my WoW account where I have had the name 'Cloudwalker' since vanilla, and a reason why I want to hold on to it in this game (not that something like that would make any sense to the likes of you). I enjoy playing with the minds of simpletons, so thank you for the opportunity to do so.

I'm not sure what format Trion uses for the raid servers. They may be attached to battle groups, dungeon servers, even the core shard server. I am not claiming knowledge in respect to this. What I know is in 20 mans I never used to get interruptions in performance that I didn't know were the result of my ****ty isp. On wednesday nights when most raiding guilds are in HK the shard lag produced by the population comes in the form of a .5 second delay between when you press a key and your global cooldown engaging. It has effected performance in all aspects of raiding. For those like me that work form home, love the game, and play a lot, it was a noticeable change. Hopefully some guilds (potentially mine included) will take it upon themselves to transfer as a unit to another shard that has a now larger pop therefore not hurting the world event interaction while easing the burden on Wolfsbane.

I can understand things happening in a busy office. I can understand the frustration of a person who has just enough time in the day to play in the morning. So what the shards went down without notice? Sure as soon as they went down all that want to know what is going on look to the forums, and there will always be people who complain.

Life happens. Go outside for a few hours, enjoy the rain, snow, sunshine, or cloudy day. I enjoy Rift, as I enjoy other games that I play. As does everyone else!!

Remember, this is just a game, that you pay for and would like to see changes for the better.

Why did that sound oh so wrong....LOL (Seriously though, thank you for the offer and it is very sweet, but if I don't save up for it, I won't have the same enjoyment of knowing that I saved up for it. =) Even though it is going to be massively time consuming but heck, one of the reason's why we play MMO's right?)

You could always just PVP for a couple hours and Buy a mount for like 13,500 favor. Its quite easy and fast, specially if you have a 100% favor pot ;)

IF you think wow would let you pick the name you liike even if someone has it your sadly mistaken. If you think their are not "trolls" in the wow forum oh boy are you mistaken. And like everyone else here if you cant pick a better name and keep playing. We seriously dont want you here. The game should matter not the symbols strung together to give you an identity. Start thinking of a better name that will dwarf your old name. I dont want to see anyone leave this game for such a trivial reason..especially to go to horrible WoW...They dont care about you....they just want your money....when trion ever does actually charge for an update...its like less than half what WoW charges and far better....they dont just add a new panda race and charge you 40-60 bucks or turn the old world into a new world and charge you yet again 40-60 US dollars.

If you are gonna quit over something as trivial as a name, then that is your prerogative but don;t be an *** when people voice their opinions that your reasoning behind quitting is lame. If you are gonna quit then just quit. Far as the name goes, yours is pretty common so expect that other people may be using it. I have used the name Chalenna since i played WoW as well and have used it while playing EVE Online, Runes of magic and now this game. The upside to have an unusual name is its very rare to find someone else using it but if someone does, I have mu original name that i can use which will remain my secret.
I
f the most important aspect of the game is the name you use, then you shouldn't be playing MMO's in the first place. Perhaps D7D/AD7D would be more your style since you wouldn't actually have to compete with people for a well known name. Just saying.

Considering it's the North American servers that are all down, the 'every time is bad for someone argument' is crap. You chose a time that was convenient for your employees, rather than your customers. Glad you didn't lose any sleep last night.

When I first read the quote that basically said they chose to inconvenience 'us,' being the N. American population so that Singapore can play, I wondered on this. Perhaps I don't understand how the "North American" servers work...Aren't they for North America? I know anyone can come play on our servers, but one would think the majority of players on a North American server would be in North America...therefore, those North Americans you decided to inconvenience -are- the "biggest impact."

I agree. You picked the time that was more convenient for your employees rather than your customers. That's fine, just either be honest or don't reply to the post.

lol I have been on several shards. Faeblight was my original home along with Bryiel, had some RP characters, and some regular PvE characters. Took a break, came back to find out my guild disbanded on Faeblight and Bryiel, but had come back during the Extra life event. Had a tee total blast, met some new people, and was asked to come to Shatterbone. After Extra life, went there then couldn't remember the peoples guild name that I had such a blast with. Ended up taking a short break due to RL stuff, came back, and decided wth, I will go to Wolfsbane. Been here a little over two months now.

But with Wolfsbane being so overcrowded, and I know I didn't help the issue, thinking about going off that server so that I do my part of reducing server lag for the natives. So keeping an eye out for the secondary shards that will become populated. So guess long story short you can say I am a Shard Gypsy LOL.

@Chalennaravenmour Oh, I have an unnatural obsession with shineys. (Have you tried the new Rift Mobile app? You can win shiney's that are in your zone, rare to win but still addictive! Won two out of 25 tries so far.)

@CavKrieger OMG, I am now going to be saying that when I get my high speed mount, running around the capital city going "Who's ya daddy you wierd gazzele/goat reject you?"

I believe she means the 110% mount which requires full rep with the Library faction(slipping my mind right now). it has been my experience that questing on ember isle is the most definite way to make that money quickly without the grind of artifact farming. and I agree with the saving it up myself, don't really understand people that are only happy being run through content to catch up to the end game of the moment. it's not my place to define how others will enjoy a game but i like the experience of earning all of my achievements and plat myself and the friends I've made along the way.

Unfortunately i am rather poor and cannot afford any of the devices that youc an use to access that app =( so i am forced to go hunt for them lol
