Extended Hardware Maintenance for EU Shards - Overnight 11/1/12-12/1/12

Good afternoon - or evening for those of you in Europe!

In order to perform some awesome hardware updates in our Europe datacenter, we will be needing an extended maintenance downtime for the European RIFT shards during the evening and overnight hours of January 11-12, 2012. As always, we'll try to minimize the downtime and hopefully finish up earlier than the generous downtime estimates.

Europe-based shards in all languages will be impacted as follows:

EU Shards: Unavailable (shards offline) between 2:00am GMT and 6:00am GMT on 12/1/12.

EU Trial Shards: Unavailable (shards offline) between 11:00pm GMT 11/1/12 and 6:00am GMT 12/1/12.


We will be providing status updates to let you know when the shards are nearing the end of maintenance and when they become available again for play. Thank you!

The hardware maintenance came in a bit slow tonight - all shards are getting another restart and then validation can proceed. Currently they're estimating approx. 45 minutes past the hour to wrap it up.

A little bit more! Bumping estimate to 7:00am GMT due to servers being slow to spin up.

EU shards are currently up and Locked, pending final checks.

Some EU shards are unlocking now; the exception is the group of Argent, Blightweald, Bloodiron, Icewatch, Riptalon, Sagespire, Steampike -- those should be following along soon.
