    Good evening!

    The NA region shards will be coming down for the update to 1.4 tomorrow morning, 8/3/11, at 8:00am PDT. The estimated downtime is ** 1 hour **.

    Patch notes will be updated!

    I'll be back during the downtime in the morning with status updates.

    Shards are getting locked again while we get the server fix out for some old quest data that's crashing characters on login.

    NA shards will be coming down shortly while the fix is set up and deployed; should be 30-40 minutes before the build can be on server.

    The live shards should be receiving another small update shortly to address the character login crash - once they're updated we'll be unlocking a limited number of shards to verify the issue has been cleared. I'll get another update as soon as the shards are updated and about to start unlocking.

    The NA shards are starting the update process within the next 5-10 minutes - had a slow shutdown where they didn't quite want to turn off.

    Na shards are on their way back up as Locked - we'll be test-unlocking one shortly after they do to check on the resolution for the crash bug.

    Seastone is our lucky winner to be the fix testbed - it will be unlocking shortly and we'll be keeping an eye on how it does for a few minutes.
