I can honestly say I wish I never had. And I do miss old EQ, even with SOE's craptastic "service" after Velious.

unfortunately, the majority of people who play this game never got to experience EQ....and have only played WoW.

this explains the constant whining and trolling.

Yeah, but honestly this is my first MMO. I'm a console RPG'er at heart and I loves me some sports games. I just think it's a bit insane for folks to be angry over the fact that a company which services millions of people on an HOURLY basis with few complaints, whose servers are only down because of an effing insanely epic content update, and has been completely honest AND kept us in the loop on the situation should catch flak for what is effectively them closing shop for a few hours to clean up the leftovers of probably at least 4 months of hard work.

So formerly playing WoW automatically makes me a troll? And I don't see what's so bad about playing WoW, it's pretty much the same thing as Rift minus a few(thousand) mistakes and differences.
