First, I did transfer one of my characters from a low population to a medium population share, and this made a big deference for me, I enjoy the game way better now that I don't have that feeling of having a zone to myself. I see people doing quest next to me, and once and a while I PVP which brings a freshness to the game.

Now here is the part that will make some people not happy, but this is my opinion.
I know Trion wanted to have free character transfer as an additional included service with our monthly subscription fee, like I said before; I did use the free service, thank you. But, I think the main reason we have all those complain about queue time and people wanting to transfer again, is because the transfer is in fact FREE, if there would be a small fee, as small as 5$ per transfer, people would take the transfer way more seriously and would think twice before transferring here and there. Now this is just my opinion and this is not pointing anybody, but I think that lot of people used the transfer because it was free and would not have used it, if there would have been a fee. I think that this would have cause way less issues, since the decisions on where to transfer would not have been done without proper thinking. Example. Move from a low/medium shard to an already high population server. (Causing endless queue waiting)

I didn't have the foresight to envision some of the negative effects of this...Now I'm trying to stifle a sinking feeling in my gut...

Many have perhaps made this point, but the community on my server has been fractured, and many many many of the familiar names in chat, and guys I'd see in pugs/WFs are not there...I feel like having been cast adrift in the midst of strangers...It's a cruddy feeling at 50, and even worse to think that the population will be constantly in flux...Aren't MMO's mostly about community, or is that an outdated mode? The guild I was in and just starting to do things with dried up without a peep...guild still intact, but no one showing logged in for 2 days...I /gquit it last night...

Also, it struck me that since guilds can now transfer, what's to stop the higher end guilds from going server to server and getting shard firsts on kills/etc? Last night a server message popped up saying <xxx> was the first to kill Alspeth, and I couldn't help thinking this was done by a guild who transferred in to snag the achieve.

You're right, Trion should have forced people to stay on a server they don't want to be so you don't have to start meeting people again.

Is there a way to transfer the remaining characters on one account to a shard that has been closed since the first character on said account was transfered?

First of all, I think free transfers are a good idea, although they should not be available every week, 3 months seems fair.

How ever, I feel like I got rancid end of the stick. My guild planed to move from Briarcliff to Dayblind to play on a more balanced server. I was leaving town for a couple of days, so I transfered just one day before the rest of the guild moved. I came back to find Dayblind was now labled as an Oceanic server (something that should have been done before transfers became available). My friends in the guild also noticed this and decided not to transfer on the intended day (perhaps because of the 12 hour difference). So this leaves me stuck on a server that does not work for me and I'm unable to get back to my friends on Briarcliff. I have to say this is very discouraging.

Trion has to start letting people in on what they are doing. Post server stats so we can make wise choices about transfers and maybe allow us to transfer back to where we came from for a limited time. listing server population, Guardian/Defiant ratio, peak hours, Is it too much to ask for? I also agree with some people posting that we need cross server LFD, the Qs are rotton.

So why tell us that you can transfer your character to another shard and then limit where I can go?? I just came back to the game because I thought I could transfer my characters to the shard all of my old guildmates from another game play on but that doesn't seem to be the case......

....forgot to mention that I am on Freeholme and my friends are on Briarcliff but I can't transfer there for some reason.
