Trion, please read this and consider what I have to say.
I am not alone in these thoughts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the remaining 3 event-related achievements are only obtainable by being online when phase 2 occurs.

In your interview you stated you expect phase 2 to last "a few hours" so "be there right when it starts".
I find this to be a terrible idea.

I have spent the last week, working getting the most out of this event. I took today off from work so I could be on right at 12 pacific time. Now we have an extension to next saturday. Well, I can't take off next saturday. So all my work towards unlocking the complete achivement has been forfeit.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider spreading out phase 2 and 3 in some manner so that MANY people with different schedules can participate.

Maybe for phase 2, 12 noon with a repeat at 12am?
Maybe even AGAIN on Sunday, with phase 3 starting with completion after Sunday's phase 2 wraps up?

By nature I am a completeist.

This is why I preordered the collector's set, and why I purchase TF2 so I could get the well spun hat. Heck, I even bought the game at Wal-Mart a second time, just to get the Little shambler guy. I'm ridiculous I know. But there are many like me, and honestly we are profitable for you, lol.

You're doing a lot of things right with this game, and I love it. Take my base suggestion into consideration.

While I don't have a life and can be on any time, I agree with you though. It's nice to not have to be on at an exact certain time for a specific amount of hours. A very tiny window like that just isn't good.

How anyone could be pissy about this is beyond me. The game has been out for less than 6 weeks. Trying something on this scale after such a short time is very risky, but I would rather them take risks from time to time. And the fix to this is about as good as can be imagined.

Thank you for deciding to extend this an extra week rather than force-feed us a bug-ridden and glitchy world event and adding extra items to purchase from the Event vendor.

This decision shows that you place quality over all else and that is greatly appreciated by your customers.! (At least this one!)

I don't find his post to be in any way insultive for Trions imperfections. He's just petitioning for a solution that would keep the largest amount of players satisfied and get a chance to join in. He isn't ranting or raving about how he took time off for this event, but he's using the available week to ask for a multitude of events.

At least that's how I read it :P And I utterly support the idea even though I can in all likeliness be online then.

According to the IRC chat Trion did, Phase 2 consists of Big Bosses invading the zones.
Once they are beaten, phase 3 begins. A final showdown of sorts.
Once's that's done, the new raid is unlocked and the event is over.

So phase 2 and 3 are one-trick ponies.

Phase 2 lasted about 3 hours on our server, but it depends on how many are taking part. The high level bosses had 14-15 million health, and took a while to take down.

During phase 2 you will still be able to get stones, there are more rifts and invaders than you have ever seen before.
