VALENTINE'S DAY EVENT - Share the love & set a Guiness World Record!

Any players who get married between 9am PST on Feb. 14 and 9am PST on Feb. 15 will be logged by the Guinness Book of World Records — note that you must still be married by the end of the event to be counted. Soon after, we’ll find out if we’ve got a place in their 2013 edition!

Everyone who participates (and only those who do!) will receive the exclusive in-game title "the Avowed" to commemorate your contribution!

Add a Personal Touch

On Valentines Day our ever helpful Gamemasters will be on hand to officate your wedding. But be warned - waits may be significant depending on demand and you still need to be married by 9AM on 2/15 in order for it to count for the record! With that out of the way, if you have the time to wait, here's what you need to do:

• Submit a petition under the category of 'Wedding Requests' and a GM will get in contact with you as soon as possible. We will broadcast on the shards if we are experiencing delays in reaching petitions. Click here for the full details on GM Officiated Weddings.

The Community Team will also be randomly popping up across all shards - keep an eye out for broadcasts on your shard, we'll be spreading the love all day long!

Just like in real life, only the document matters - you can skip the tuxedo and ceremony if you want to just get down to business

And for this question - title is account wide, but the record is based on individual characters. So get your alts hitched!

Is it also for europe the PST time or will it be GMT time?
09:00 PST is 17:00 GMT, kinda weird for us to only be able to do it during the evening on valentines day.

P.S. please give more GMT times along with the PST times, it's alot easier for those on the other side of the ocean.

Unfortunately 24 hour period can only be a 24 hour period - Guinness cares not for time zones! That said, we did 9AM-9AM to be the most opportune time for the most people. It begins in EU prime time and ends in EU prime time (and early enough to not interfere with most raiding times to boot!)

It's as fair as can be for all of our players who connect around the world, even beyond EU and North America - hope that explains why for you

to get into the book do we need to contact a gm to officate our wedding? i dont get that part so wanna be sure before i go through with the weddings cause i got 6 toons getting married today mabey if i can afford it and dont wanna be wasting gm's time if i dont have to

You receive the title at the end of the day, after the time is up.
