In this particular case I wanted to leave the description a bit vague. At the time I wrote the "upcoming" changes we had implemented the fix yet (there were a few options on the table at the time). The final outcome is that we ended up changing the form of that mechanic to something that should be completely understandable from a visual standpoint while keeping the the basic original intention intact.
