Default Combat calculations and procs on death

Not sure where else to put this soooo...

There's something weird going on with abilities like Defer Death, Crystalline Shield, Vigilance, No Permission to Die, etc., that proc on the caster's death. When these abilities are active, as the targets comes closer to the 1hp threshold for a proc, incoming damage seems to be progressively reduced (not sure what the threshold for the effect is). By the time a target gets to 2 HP, abilities are hitting for fractions of a hitpoint. The game and combatlog are showing this as either negative or "ignored" damage.

In high-damage situations -- for example, in GSB, where things hit really hard -- it is apparently possible to be hit hard enough that the game is somehow bypassing the check for these abilities and they don't activate at all (e.g., you can have Defer Death active on your character, take a hit for 1/3rd of your health, and you'll die without it going off).

    From my own understanding:

Death prevention skills do not appear to be taking the Prime incoming damage modifier into account to determine if they should trigger

    Example:
Say a player has 200 HP left, and has the ability "Defer Death" active, and then an attack that normally hits for 100 HP is now multiplied to be 210HP. In this instance, the player will die (HP reduced to -10) but "Defer Death" will not trigger.

This implies that "Defer Death" is looking to see IF an attack would kill the player, then it will apply its effects, instead of "Defer Death" checking for a death state, then applying its effects.

This appears to be related to the shield issue above. Absorb shields appear to be acting in weird and bizzare ways due to how their damage reduction is interacting with the Prime modifiers.

Has this been fixed with Saturday's update? On Friday I pushed up a fix for the absorb shields not working due to some improper calculations. Did that fix it?
