I am pretty much a solo player. That is changing slowly as I gear up more but for now I am still a solo player. These are things that I have observed.
So far the content is very doable by oneself. However it seems clunky and doesn't flow as smoothly as Nightmare Tide which I am told doesn't flow as smoothly as Storm Legion and before.
Zone Events invasions come in 65-66 zone at 66. I understand there is percentage difference in hit and damage between the levels but here it seems exaggerated. I am tier 3 - tier 2 gear and I found that the mobs are very difficult to kill at 65. There is one or two monsters that are bigger then the rest that seem to take no damage. Fast forward to level 66 and things change dramatically. Mobs that I once struggle mightily with present little to no problem provided I don't get a dozen or more all at once. That smacks of a imbalance.
Equipment - At some point during the last week hit was added to equipment. But equipment still lacks AP, SP, PC and CP. The lack of these stats makes it very unattractive despite having vastly superior primary stats (Armor, Strength, DPS...etc). I understand that focus will be on planar fragments to get the stats that the equipment lacks. But this is going to slow going. It might take some individuals the entire expansion to get back to the CP and AP they had prior to Expansion pack.
Onslaughts - Just as much a pain in the *** here in SFP as they are in Nightmare Tide. Perhaps worse because the Onslaught never seems to end until the player gives up and walks away.
Tempest finisher Skyfall has more damage in the expansion prior to the application legendary power then it does in Nightmare tide. Intentional?
Legendary abillity Dire Coruption does not trigger from Shadow of Dread. There seems to be no way to apply the normal ability by itself.
The per-requisites for skills (mining, foraging..etc) don't seem to be in play.
Equipped SFP weapon with no hit or attack power. DPS went up ~2000 points, hit and attack power stayed the same. Armor deducts and add hit as needed. You overall total will rise and fall. But not from weapons it appears.
Would be interesting if we could trade/sell non-equipped planar fragments.
When the game functions it seems to be smoother overall. I have no clue if I am running the 32 bit or 64 bit client at the moment. I haven't invested the time to find out.
On idols of whatever it seems to be an all or nothing deal. If one attacks they all attack. I haven't found a way to lure off one monster yet.
Any ranged enemy seems to do more damage the any melee enemy. Sometimes melee does nothing at all despite the animation happening.
Tempest finisher Skyfall only does its tooltip damage. It never crits. Where as Dire Blow does and frequently. Getting 100k out DireBlow is not unusual. Skyfall has never gotten beyond 36k.
