Default PTS client crashes when connecting to game server

Can launch the x64 client from glyph. I have copied over the assets from Live, and later on reinstalled the PTS client. This persists after reboots.

I can successfully use the character select screen. When selecting any character and clicking 'play', or after creating a character and clicking 'play', the client crashes (1% loading basically, when connecting to the server). It does not ask me to send error reports. Addons have been disabled.

Windows event log shows the following when the client crashes:

Faulting application name: rift_x64.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x57f5e86e
Faulting module name: rift_x64.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x57f5e86e
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x00000000000062ea
    Faulting process ID: 0x2dac
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d220ee2f25f925
    Faulting application path: E:\Glyph\Games\RIFT\PTS\rift_x64.exe
    Faulting module path: E:\Glyph\Games\RIFT\PTS\rift_x64.exe
    Report ID: a5718e37-0ea0-47d5-a6ab-74acbff72c49
    Faulting package full name:
    Faulting package-relative application ID:

I can send over the .wer files if those would be of any use.

System is running Win10 pro, with a GeForce GTX970.

Side note: I am unable to switch Glyph back to 32 bit in the GUI. Simply receiving a warning that this will affect game fidelity, without actually being able to click OK or Cancel.

Thanks for the report. It currently seems like something is causing Rift64 and Windows 10 to disagree.

HI, This is same for me on Windows 8.1. Click Play on character screen and game crashes. Did disable all add ons, tried making brand new character; no difference.

    Default "RIFT has stopped working"

I have Windows 10, I can't even get to the character screen. I briefly make it to the RIFT cutscene page with the bald dwarf, on the left, and the Bahmi with the scribble on her face, on the right. I get a notification "Rift has stopped working" consistently within 3 secs of the RIFT cutscene page loading. I know you're aware there's an issue, I was just providing a tad more information.
Excusing and tolerating disrespect guarantees it will continue.
