Default September 2015 Update(s) to the PTS

September 2015 Updates(s) to the PTS and Live. I'll be editing this post with all the patch changes for the month.

You can check out August's updates here.

    ---

[PTS] Updated to: Sept 23rd 2015
    TEST-303-35-A-1040564
    Size: ~1.04GB.
    Briefly:
    • New Crafting Achievements based on the Lucky Fortune Biscuits. The Lucky Fortune Bundle now has the correct preview, of the Oven of Good Fortune dimension item. Tooltip states you need it to make Lucky Fortune Biscuits.
    • "The Wild Hunt" rare mobs meta achieve for the Planetouched Wilds now has a new reward "Crystalline Scale" which "Use: Infused with a primal essence".
    • Patron's Artifact Tracking buff tooltip now says you will be able to see Poison, Burning and Nightmare artifacts on the mini-map (as long as you have the appropriate Sight buff).
    • UI additions added: Wardrobe Dye Tooltips; Artifact Set Linking in Achievements and Primalist 'Energy Bar' updated.
    • Primalist Berserker abilities updated. Full changelog here.
    • Two more wardrobe skin sets, including that '5th Wilds Wardrobe' set. Looks like it's Deer Spirit-inspired.
    • Two new Warfront Announcers: Regulos and Usukhel. Sound files available to preview the announcers.
    • Other tidbits like Greathound sfx files, possible backpack/wings adjustments; Curse AoE VFX (potentially for a raid boss mechanic); Fishing pole animations; possible Dimension Key for the cave underneath Harrow Crypt.

[PTS] Updated to: Sept 21st 2015
    TEST-303-33-A-1039609
    Size: ~888MB.
    Briefly:
    • New Disc-based Building Blocks for dimensioneers is now available under RIFT Store -> Dimension -> Building Blocks. There's currently a bug with some of the discs where you can't jump on them, but other than that they look pretty sweet.
    • There's 126 new achievement points for Achievements -> Character -> Crafting. No idea what they are because clicking on Crafting in achievements will make your client crash to desktop.
    • Auction House now has a REX category.
    • The Limited Edition: Crystalline Lifter Trove on the RIFT Store front page (PTS) stated 8 days 13hrs left when I logged in with the most recent update. Could potentially mean that Trion is planning to extend the Arclight Infiltration Promo Week an extra week - unconfirmed though.
    • Data files show a variety of Planetouched Wilds flag skins, a 5th PTW wardrobe set (not visible on PTS yet) and some other files like swimming animations for Greathound and Primal Warbeast mounts.

[PTS] Updated to: Sept 16-18th 2015
    TEST-303-29-A-1038328 & TEST-303-31-A-1039039
    Size: ~1.27GB & 459MB.
    Briefly:
    • Four new armor sets for the Planetouched Wilds. Gained from quest rewards in the zone. I'm guessing you'll also be able to obtain it via the Rhaza'de Canyons Expert Dungeon.
    • "Random" wardrobe button. Click to randomize your armor slot appearances. Doesn't change weapon or dyes.
    • Act II of the Planetouched Wilds questchain is now available in Shal Korva throne room at /setwaypoint 10298 5786.
    • New dimension tiles are available from either completing the puzzle on Callweddi multiple times, or through the dimension NPC in Callweddi village.
    • Minion Card: Spirit Kite updated with 12 starting stamina and attributes: Life, Hunting and Harvesting.
    • Essence upgrade window now has new tooltip to warn players that you need to unsocket the essence from your focus in order to upgrade the essence.
    • Planetouched Wilds Carnage Quests now give Shal Korva rep.
    • Rhaza'de Canyons is back on the LFG queue, although it's unknown whether you can actually enter or if the permissions issues still persist.

[PTS] Updated to: Sept 9th 2015
    TEST-303-25-A-1036379
    Size: ~341MB.
    Briefly:
    • Stats on the new tier of runes (Marvelous/Illustrious) have decreased for the most part. You can find a comparison in the spreadsheet here.
    • Dancing Yeti dual-use dimension item can be obtained from either Lucy or Jeffrey in Sanctum/Meridian respectively.
    • Wardrobe has some new 'MTX Costume Bundles' that represent Storm Legion raid outfits. There's also a Primalist's Maul 2-handed hammer.
    • Artifact Hunter's Tracking Vials for Poison, Burning and Nightmare are now available under RIFT Store -> Boosts.
    • Abilities that used multiple tooltips have been merged into a single tooltip.

[PTS] Updated to: Sept 4th 2015
    TEST-303-23-A-1035388
    Size: ~1.46GB.
    Briefly: PTS Update
    • Shielding Changes Round 2. Shielding abilities changed to only absorb 85% of incoming damage, up to the shielding amount of the ability. 50% max hp cap remains unchanged. New blue-dot indicator to tell you where your cap is.
    • Mage Harbinger Changes. Refer to Red Hawk's post here for full details on the changes.
    • Crafting Adjustments.
      • Runecrafters and Apothecaries now have Planar Crafting Weeklies.
      • Various Primalist two-handed weapons now available from Weaponsmith/Artificer trainer + RIFT Store -> Crafting.
      • The new tier of runes coming in 3.4 now use (epic) Opaque Rune Amenders. Originally used (relic) Dreaming Rune Amenders prior to the latest PTS update.
    • New Weapon Models. New weapon models that look like they're inspired by the Shalistiri's armor have popped up. View them under Character -> Wardrobe. Have 'Show Uncollected' ticked and search for "313".
    • New Achievements. New Planetouched Wilds achievements and rewards. Includes new tag for 'Portrait Badge'. Graphics that appear at the top portion of your portrait (like the party leader crown). There's also a Minoin Card: Spirit Kite that strangely has a starting attribute value of 3 for both its Dimension and Artifact attributes.
    • Planetouched Wilds Artifact Rewards updated. A whole heap of dual-use 'Dancing Partner' items that can be summoned in the open world or placed in your dimension. Also two fairy unicorn badger pets and a 'Blind Seer's' item.
    • UI additions including AH filter "Uncollected Appearances Only" and guild log linking.
    Briefly: PTS Datamining
    • About 2k+ sound files. Mainly short lines from NPCs, although there's also Planetouched Wilds Music and (oddly) Trove music. I've compiled some of them just to get you an idea of the range of voices; no spoilers.
    • A couple of porticulum preview thumbnails and PTW loading screens.
    • A few datamined skins including a colored version of that 'lizardman' skin, some Bahmi skins, two more sets of Wilds-themed wardrobe and a shield skin.
    • Some filenames had H_B_wood_tile_disc_01.ma/etc, most likely referring to disc-based building blocks.
    • Some filenames indicate that they've added in Laboratory crafting stations for dimensions - most likely dropped from Crafting Rifts like all the other crafting stations.
    • An Extra Life logo was in the data files. Extra Life's 24hr gaming charity is held starting 7th Nov this year.

You can check out August's updates here.

From what I can see, Planetouched Wilds is labeled as a zone now (and probably is properly reassigned its old zone channel, rather than Telara). Teleport to PTW still doesn't work for a normal account.

Shielding now just absorbs 85% of damage. Max Absorb cap still at 50%.

    Not quite.

The 50% cap is still in play and affected by Dodge. The difference is absorbs don't negate 100% of the damage they take and now have a 15% bleed through (85% effectiveness).

Yep, my mistake. Just found out and edited my post without refreshing the page first to see your comment!

The new runes now use Opaque(epic) amenders to upgrade instead of relic.

New crafted Primalist items are in. They have Dex heavy 2h hammers/polearms for dps and Dex heavy staffs for tank. New Dex 2h rune also. Looks like they might make the calling Dex MS? I don't see why the current warrior 2hs couldn't do the job.

Just looking at the top upgrade from the lvl 65 weapons the all stats for the new primalist weapons are less than warrior ones- main stat, AP, weapon dps and hit.

Them having different weapons is a good thing for loot distribution though.

Couldn't be happier with this change. Now they won't be crazy expensive.

This just means we're going to have to upgrade them again down the road.

I'm just glad they're not completely overlooking an entire tier of amenders. It'd be a waste of making the 4 tiers in the first place.

Still working on writing up notes for the latest PTS Update. However, just thought I'd drop in to say that the additions to the Planetouched Wilds achievements have gotten me quite excited! Portrait icon overlays for collecting the various artifact sets in PTW...and this:

Probably already know about this one but just in case:

    Default Epic rune amenders

I was wondering if there was a plan for another tier of runes after this?
Now the Relic amender is not used in any recipe right?

I think this is a good change, it just seems strange that there is an amender that is useless

Did you check the new Artisan Store recipes for Primalist? From Weaponsmith and Artificer. The Primalist CP weapon Typhoon's Charged Greatmaul has more stats than the 2-handed warrior weapon Destroyer's Charged Halberd, with the exception of Endurance.

@Snap - Thanks for the heads up! Will check that out later.

@dannyant - Who knows. You'd expect there'd be another tier given the relic amender...but not sure how they'll fit that in properly. Not sure if Trion will bother with a Tier 4 before the next expansion...
