    I wrote this up (in like 1hr). It should help. Maybe?

    This is a rough draft. Let me know what should be changed/clarified/add/removed/nyand/etc

    Thanks for the info TehFrank! I think it is pretty understandable, although I'd have to spend some time fiddling around. It feels like one of those things you have to just 'do' to understand it, and then it becomes intuitive afterwards.

    I should have some free time tomorrow to clean up the quickbms scripts
    (clean up, not comment :P)

    I might also include the Archeage script but unpacking AA pretty much requires an SSD unless you want to leave it running overnight =v.v=

    Oh, thank you very much TehFrank, I will give it a shoot once I am back home (in a month though). But I am more targeting the super-duper challenge mode. I am not into extracting models, sounds and other resources.

    I would love to do a client* that can extract data live about the player or the character being currently played like the Magelo client. RE Magelo client brought me to a dll but I have not gone deeper yet

    *: or they could add a way to allow in-game addon to connect to a named pipe (as I suggested in the addon forum section), that would do it a well.

    However, I don't really know how to access/re-download each individual pak file. Under my RIFT PTS folder's 'assets' folder, none of the sub-folders have anything in them. The main 'assets' folder just has a ton of assets.### files.

    I opened quickbms.exe, selected the BMS script (tried both riftlzma2.bms and riftpak.bms), then selected the input folder (assets) and selected an output folder, but I get:

    I must be doing something embarrassingly wrong here.

    Also, when I attempt to double-click the Windows Batch Files for riftlzma2 and riftpak, it states:

    The "selected" stuff is what the patcher has determined needs to be downloaded. You can find the full path of those files a bit further down in the log

    and will look something like this:

    You can download the files off the triongames.com by taking the "selected" item and putting it on the end of this:

    The SOMENUMBERHERE will be 01, 02, or 03 and changes every patch. Trion keeps older versions of files kicking around too =^.^=
    The log file will let you know which path the Patcher is pulling from for the current update.


    as for the script failing. um, I forgot to include the script that processes .assets files because without a key (understanding of the .manifest file) it is a huge mess. If you still want the script, here it is =^.^=

    Just wanted to chime in and say that seeing posts like these makes me really happy. I've been following your PTS datamines for quite a while now, and I've always sort of wondered what kind of work was involved in putting them together. I'm a programmer myself, so I've got some understanding of the process involved, but to see how far you've come with it is really neat. While I probably won't delve into the process itself for a little while, just knowing that you're willing to share the techniques with us is great
