While, you're at it, can you make Burning Powerstones/Whetstones not work in PVP either. The people with the heaviest coin purse can always afford +10 DPS to their weapons or +200 Spellpower. Not to mention +40END or +40STR/DEX or +40WIS/INT.

According to my math pvp players gain roughly 7-8 dps from new r50 weapon but again they lose 10-11 dps from removing wrath stones.
Seriously what's the logic behind all this,i don't really see the point more than favoring pve players who craft dps/spell power stones....

Well, until now everyone had them. Now no one will have them. So I don't see what the big deal is. Shouldn't affect us much.
I would say stock those bad boys up. IT is like adding the total vengeance gained on 3-4 pieces of next tier gear in a consumable...
