most people are indifferent about releasing it, expansion is this year and PA will definitely be changed/made useless otherwise people who start the expansion will be a year behind...if you think your current PA will be useful in expansion that is even more absurd than thinking your ID gear will be useful in expansion
might as well hold off T3 until the PA rework for expansion is live

Umm, they are already a year behind, doesn't matter if you count PA or not. They are starting at level 1, and I am starting at 50 with my relics. And yes, your ID gear will be useful in the expansion. Will it be BiS anymore? no, and far from it...but it will allow you to clear the content that drops those better weapons while everyone else is struggling or failing.
^ If I had an ID crafting mat for every time someone said some BS like this before an expansion in WoW - even a 5 level one - I'd be retiring right now.
ID gear probably means you'll be able to level to 53 a few hours faster than the next guy - that's about it.
The only things that ever hold their value across expansion level gaps are a few really good trinkets or anything with a proc effect based off percentages rather than an actual hard number.
Except vanilla -> TBC was leveled with my priest by touching 0 new items until I hit 69.
TBC -> world I went up to 78 with my shaman before first proper upgrade.
IF you're in entry-level gear, you'll replace is fast. Set bonuses are just extremely strong to pass off even during leveling.
If you played anything other than WoW this might be valid... Nope still wouldn't be. Countless games before have done this exact thing before and done it properly. Just because WoW did it horribly doesn't mean that's the way it's done. Just like many games have deal with AA's/PA's/EA's.
There are plenty of great ways to hand raising the level cap and the handling PAs. I've got faith Trion will as well.

This has really been bad for the people who maxed their t2 pas in october or november.
It is cool and all that the new patch has mentoring and new instant adventures but without adding the promised tier 3 planar attunement at the same time what is the point? Who is going to mentor and do IAs when they are capped? More and more people are capped all the time.
PVP ranks give 2 planar attunement levels 41-50. Again, not useful when you haven't put in additional planar attunement to spend the points on.
No one was max all t2 PA in october or november but cool hyperbole!

The solution is to add a PA tree for crafting/gathering skills and a PA tree for roleplaying.
I would blow 8k pa points just so I could give you the finger in game.

Trion, Hold T3 PAs until you feel you have a solid grasp on balancing them. Do not forget that you initially made them to give us something to do post 50 not overpower the people who (like warriors and clerics in EI) were able to just non-stop grind these things while LFG. Also, do not forget one of your basic principles - Parity. Will someone who grinds out all T3 PAs asap be Superman compared to the new 50?
I say hold them until you are more than sure you have it right; Then add 2 weeks to the schedule.

On another note, I'd be ok with you opening an entire new sets of PAs immediately, something along the lines of Tier 2.5? These PAs offering nothing but user-friendly things like Summon Party Members to your location, Summon Pack of Hyenas to laugh at your jokes, Transform yourself into a Goblinoid for 60s.
All flavor PAs. No combat related PAs whatsoever. I believe I read up some about maybe Crafting PAs. I'm cool with that idea as well.
