Could trion please confirm something, without going in to specifics (ie, yes/no is sufficient)

    1) Will it be a new Tier (ie, increased toughness/hit/focus requirement)?
    2) Will there be a new raid currency?

I only ask as a means of forward planning.

    Thanks.

    1) Yes, new tier -- 400 hit/focus I believe (all the stuff was normalized to 50 hit per piece)
    2) I'd assume new currency as well

Question based on your initial testing.. if you can release such info..

Are any resist cores needed.. Fire.. Earth.. w/e

Tanks only or full raid? etc..

    Just for prep notes :3

Not going to have any info like that.
If your'e lucky enough to be a meleer your DPS sigil already aligns mostly to fire. I'd at least get the sourcestones for a main-spec fire sigil. Might hold off in case they make an innate fire-resist sigil though like the water one.

I don't have a single fire essence in my sigil and I'm melee.

testers are under NDA, so I don't think you will get any hard info. But yea new tier, for sure. New currency, most likely.

Everything at this stage is just guesswork.
Given the increase in focus, it should be easy for a full HK-geared player to get 400+ focus. Given that, it only seems natural that ID would be 400+.

Asking for 11/11 HK guilds to test ID (check the Dungeons & Raids sub-forum sticky) is a good indicator of this. Reason? If ID was just another t2 or t2.5, you would think Trion would allow some 6/11 and 10/11 guilds to test out as well to see how far they get in the raid.

Given that HK upper floor required water resist sigils, and HK lower helped with death resist sigils (i.e. Grug when your guild did not have high enough hp-gear, or didn't use the ranged method) I can only assume that ID will require fire resist for the later half, and earth resist for the first half (i.e. the whole Wanton Maw fire/earth alliance).

As for any other info; I doubt anyone from the various guilds that are currently testing it/have tested it will spill anything - if they do, they are likely to be banned from future tests.

While I haven't been in there myself yet, I think it's safe to say that this will be a new tier with new currencies.

I suspect all existing GMoA will be converted to MoA and the purchase costs for HK gear to be changed as well. HK will then drop MoA and ID will drop GMoA

If you look at the tooltips on live it says that GMoA are dropped from T3 raids and MoA are dropped from T1 and T2 raids.

It's a similar way to how Honor/Valor works in WoW when each new PvP season or raiding tier starts.

Two things I find alarming about your post:

    1) You are right.
    2) I don't want this to happen because I really want to see a currency called "Ultra Marks Of Ascension".

Although, I wouldn't be opposed to a conversion because that's more PA.

I would hope not. Getting my GMoA's turned into MoA on a 1:1 basis would suck.

That being said, it seems likely that ID will have a minimum focus/hit of 400, with the harder mobs at 460 or 520. The gear there will probably drop with 62 focus on it (the focus has been normalized on a per-tier way; 38, 50, 62?)

It seems safe to start collecting fire resist essences for the fire resist sigil that will likely become available with the nextevent.

ID will most certainly have Laethys and Maelforge. I hope they have fire and earth sigils.

I don't think they'll be converted at a 1:1 ratio as I expect they'll bump the prices as well, maybe 2:1 with HK pieces costing twice as much as GSB/RoS gear.

Without a conversion we could have ended up with some interesting names in the future, T7 dropping Ultra-Hyper-Mega-Uber Marks of Ascension anyone?

I'd be okay with having a Fire Sigil, which I fully expect to need, but don't know if I'd want to have to farm 2 resist engines. I suspect Trion realises a lot of people don't like it either and will make the intelligent decision to limit it to one required resist with perhaps one specialty role in a certain encounter ala Mage tank on Dollin needing Death Resist.

This is a currency I can get behind.
